Comments Thread For: Haye Not Sure if Joshua Had Proper Sparring For Andy Ruiz

ANTHONY JOSHUA's shock defeat by Andy Ruiz Jr could have been a result of inadequate sparring, according to David Haye. Joshua was an overwhelming favourite to keep hold of his three recognised world heavyweight titles on his stateside debut at Madison Square Garden. Yet it quickly became evident that Ruiz was not reading from the same script when, after being floored himself in the third round, the Mexican rose from the canvas to put AJ down twice and set the wheels in motion for one of the greatest upsets in boxing history.

Ruiz came to win...he was a minister of death praying for war.

Stop it with the excuses already, some idiots even went as far as making a conspiracy theory as to why Joshua lost, enough..Andy Ruiz beat him and was the better man

Whatever AJ and his team will change for the rematch they can never compensate the extra years and experience Ruiz has as amateur.

He was a late replacement, of course he wasn't going to be as well prepared for him as he was for Miller. I'm getting pretty tired of all the weird conspiracy theories around this result.

AJ can get the toughest sparring that he needs but it won't ever repair that glass jaw,, and it could never replace or give him a bigger heart or more determination than Andy Ruiz Jr.

they talk about joshua allegdly getting knocked out by a 5'10" inch fat guy like it's a good thing .

buddy, if joey dawejko really knocked out your hero you have a much, much bigger problem than losing your world title. andy ruiz is, uhh, better than joey dawejko.
