    Is Canelo-Kovalev trending towards December?

Coppinger has that GGG-Munguia report that suggested the fight was in play because Canelo might not fight Kovalev in September.

There’s also numerous reports that Kovalev-Yarde is happening in late August.

Is Canelo planning to wait until December to fight or is he going to have a tune up in between?

September is 8 weeks away..... so, it does not look like Canelo will be fighting in September

the only reason why Canelo would need to move off his September date is..... Andrade

if his next opponent was Kovalev, he would have fought Kovalev in September..... if his next opponent was Callum Smith, then he would have fought Smith in September.....

Smith let slip that he was told to " prepare for December ".....
Joe Gallagher, the trainer and manager of WBA super middleweight champion Callum Smith, is looking to get some clarification on his fighter's next move - hoping that he lands a showdown with Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez. On June 1, Smith returned with a crushing knockout of Hassan N'Dam on the Anthony Joshua-Andy Ruiz undercard at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

the only reason why Callum Smith would mention December..... would be if he was plan-B, in case the Andrade negotiation falls over

I think it's Andrade..... been saying that for awhile now

Canelo gets what Canelo wants..... so if he does end up fighting Andrade in December like I suspect, then that was his plan all along..... like he said, immediately following the Jacobs win.....

On fighting Demetrius Andrade for the undisputed title

That’s the goal, whoever has the title. It doesn’t matter. Our goal is to unify all the belts, become the undisputed middleweight champion of the world. We’re gonna sit with our team and we’ll come back with a decision.

Bob Arum suggested Canelo won't fight in September due to knee problems. Yarde and Kovalev have an agreement that if the Canelo fight gets made, Yarde will take step-aside money and fight Gilberto Ramirez instead.

Canelo will fight somebody in September. He always does. It's a tradition. I have no idea who he will fight but I don't think it will be a middleweight. I think he might be done with 160 because making that weight has become harder. We should hear both his opponent and GGG's opponent soon.

If he has knee problems maybe he won't fight in September as usual.

He had a cyst removed last year but wore a brace vs Jacobs, so somethings not all right there.
