Boring...There are guys like andrade and charlo available, but this dude is looking into a fight with a career 154 iber and still culture vultures the mexican culture. He will chase the canelo fight into next year as well. He openly stated that he doesn't want to fight charlo/andrade and would prefer them to fight each other. It is possible he choose Munguia over charlo/andrade. This is your marketed people's champ guys.

Feel that Oscars throwing mungia under the bus after the hogan performance was saving him for nelo before "knee issues". I foresee a Mexican revenge narrative being pushed for may 5th after ggg beats mungia in sept with canelo next in may.

If Canelo isn't fighting in September...GGG-Mungia just makes too much sense from a promotional standpoint...the matchup is all right for GGG imo...similar to Breazeale-Wilder where on paper it looks OK...but style wise it is all in favor of the better guy, and I don't see this one lasting too long...I would be tuning in though :0 lol.

DAZN has so much riding on the Canelo-GGG fight...they probably want that fight another 3 times honestly...not just for the money it can bring in, but also the subs...I'm wondering if Canelo is sitting out because he is having issues with DAZN trying to force that fight, or if the knee is really bothering him...I'm leaning towards the former but idk...may be some of both...he doesn't seem like the type of guy who wants people to tell him what to do...and you know DAZN has been pushing him and his team for that fight.

So if no Canelo-GGG I can see this one making way too much sense for September...so much for DAZN rides on Canelo-GGG 3 (and 4 and 5...) so any moves they want those fighters to make will be to maximize that fight...and obviously limiting downside.

I would prefer Andrade at 160 or Callum Smith at 168 but this one probably sells better than those unfortunately. Honestly I am glad GGG is getting paid now at the end of his career...he has earned it and I think no matter what some people will never give him any credit for the great things he has done in his career...so may as well get paid before you call it a day.
Canelo acting like the incarnation of a demi god is defo the issue I doubt he has knee issues its his ego that needs fixing. He's just a boxer needs to wind his neck in as he acts like he's a rare valuable commodity and needs to be revered by others.

Mangina gets proper fugged by G. Slug fest start to end.

Never count out a Mexican swinging for the fences, especially on national margarita day.

It’ll be way less competitive than that fight.

Vargas had already beaten Yory Boy Campus, Raul Marquez, Winky Wright and Ike Quartey when he fought Trinidad. Trinidad also moved up to 154 recently prior to that fight.

Munguia is moving up to 160 and his best win is Liam Smith.

                  GGG is a ***ing disgrace.

Another 154lber. Dragging a kid up from a weight class because he's too much of a biiitch to fight Andrade or Charlo.

                    He's a disgrace.

He's made a career out of fighting 154lbers and bringing them up to 160. Then trying to destroy them Mexican Style.

                    Brook
                    Rosado
                    Vanes
                    Canelo

                    Then Rolls at a catchweight.

                    Now Munguia another 154lber.

                    Why is this being ignored?

If GGG pursued this I would lose all respect for him. Munguia is far from top level and this would just be another easy fight for G. Instead of trying to make a more compelling fight to prove he earned another fight with Canelo, he would just be picking on another c class fighter. It's also funny and sad that his fans support this instead of wanting their guy to dare to be great and fight someone that would stand as a challenge. I hate knowing that my dazn subscription would be paying for this... I wish it was ppv again so could intentionally not buy it.
