I gotta say Jack Johnson before him there was no fighter of that caliber of defence and pure boxing ( for his time of course).

Watched the 3 hours documentary about him boxing was very different back then very sloppy and was doing a lot of holding and punching
I'm going to go with the GOAT he made people appreciate a different side of the sport

Before Johnson people barley clinched or dodge punches at all it was judt stand in same spot punch until the other falls.
