Spence is in a unnofficial PBC side of the street tournament. He's fighting porter then likely Thurman/pacquiao winner maybe even Danny Garcia. Until they are done with all those fights he isn't fighting Crawford the best opponent at 147 let alone canelo. That's why I can't get excited by this. If this fight happens which I think it could in the future when Spence is done exhausting all options on PBC side of the steet. It probably happens in 2021 the earliest. We all know Haymon has all these fights at 147 already mapped out for him and has Crawford froze out no matter what spence says publicly. I think Crawford likely has to leave top rank in 2020 cross the street to PBC to get that fight to decide who is the best at welterweight. Then maybe a tune up fight at 154 and then best case a showdown with Canelo at earliest 2021.

That's very accurate. Spence actually wanted Pacquiao, who said yes when he climbed up the ring in the Garcia fight. Haymon, instead, made the Thurman vs Pac fight.
