The amount of hard dedicated work this guy has put into improving himself as a fighter despite his mexican "privilege" in boxing is nothing short of admirable. never have I ever expected him to evolve into the fighter he evolved to be.Comment

He has become very skilled defensively and as a counterpuncher.
Still in his physical prime with the the boxing IQ of a veteran champion.Comment

As great as he is, he still got away with robbery against Golovkin. Twice.
He should just fight him again. Golovkin is getting old enough to where Canelo could probably legitimately beat him this time, and it would end any controversy.Comment

Really don't like the favouritism and the WBC franchise bullchit, but there's no denying the kid has matured into a fine - even elite - fighter. As has been pointed out by others he's developed beyond the level I thought he was capable of and he's likely still improving.Comment

He is great at slipping punches but I still think GGG deserved to win both fights and can beat him anywhere but Vegas. He has a stamina problem he can't seem to solve or maybe he doesn't train as hard anymore. He dominated Jacobs in the first half of the fight but gassed badly and lost some late rounds from inactivity.Comment

Will he ever fight below 168 again? Maybe young Canelo can't comfortably make 160 anymore. Recently the only guys he talks about fighting next are 168 or more. He won't even take about fighting his 3 most obvious middleweight challengers, GGG, Andrade and Jermall.Comment
