Comments Thread For: Joseph Parker Forced To Go Ten, To Stop Alex Leapai

Houston, Texas - In a heavyweight fight, former WBO world champion Joseph Parker (26-2, 20 KOs) wanted to make a big statement, but he was forced to go ten rounds before the referee stopped his fight with 39-year-old Alex Leapai (32-8-4, 26 KOs).

Funny how fast they went from calling a quick knockout to praising Leapei for taking a motionless beating.

These DAZN showcase fights haven't really been showcase fights lately

That was sad, that Parker could have gone 12 had the ref not stopped it.

Parker took TEN rounds to beat that PIE?

The same PIE Clinchko blew out after Briggs almost knocked him out at the presser?

Schwarz would have taken half the time. Just like I said.

Nothing against leapai. He's been unfairly dismissed as a "UPS driver who tried boxing" on here... But he's a 40 year old version of the guy who upset Boystov (before his tragic accident) & earned the Klitschko fight.

It's REALLY hard to watch a guy Parker's size and age fight so timidly over and over. Give that body to an angry toddler and they'd go on a KO streak.

I think it's fair to say that after two defeats in a row to AJ and Whyte Joseph Parker has definitely gone backwards. It's gonna take another 3 to 4 fights before he finds his confidence.

Parker was sitting down on his punches, landing cleanly, and still failing to really hurt the guy. It was bizarre.

thats a hilarious graph blaming gun control reforms for the rise in gun murders. as if guns in the 1800's were the same as now? i wonder why gun murders went up starting in the 1900s? couldnt be thats when automatic handguns were invented...no murders went up because of the unions!

also there was gun reform in the 30's right when the murder rate went down but this chart cites the end of prohibition as the reason? hilarious omission there. in the 90's there was gun control as well but instead of putting that it credits some states allowing concealed carry as the reason gun murders went down?

that takes some mental gymnastics to make a chart like that. but for someone to actually believe it? scary. we have 200 case studies on how to do gun control. they are called other countries. limiting access to guns always leads to less gun deaths. but less freedom!
