also there was gun reform in the 30's right when the murder rate went down but this chart cites the end of prohibition as the reason? hilarious omission there. in the 90's there was gun control as well but instead of putting that it credits some states allowing concealed carry as the reason gun murders went down?

that takes some mental gymnastics to make a chart like that. but for someone to actually believe it? scary. we have 200 case studies on how to do gun control. they are called other countries. limiting access to guns always leads to less gun deaths. but less freedom!
There is also an inverse/negative correlation between higher firearm ownership/lower homicide rates by region both in the US and globally. So those "200 other studies" would actually be a serious correlation supporting the semi-humorous correlation in the chart (very, very strongly).

The gun control of the '90s pertained to reducing the militaristic appearance of semi-automatic rifles. The gun homicide spike in the '90s consisted almost entirely of compact handgun shootings, so there would be no correlation there.

I'm guessing you're from the UK and just not allowed to own one. Keep in mind that you are an outlier even by European standards in terms of draconian laws. Europe at large has high civilian gun ownership:

Maybe I am wrong and you're from the New England region or something. I've just gotten that angry unathletic repressed vibe from you before and those guys tend to come from 2 or 3 places.

It's REALLY hard to watch a guy Parker's size and age fight so timidly over and over. Give that body to an angry toddler and they'd go on a KO streak.
Is your 'chart' a joke, or wot? Maybe it should includes dates when Ren & Stimpy cartoons debuted, Carter stopped selling liver pills, New England won the Superbowl for the umpteenth time, MTV stopped playing music? Geez, you gun nutz and your clown charts.

Of course it's tongue in cheek/nonscientific.

Poking fun at America's sudden, arbitrary obsession with gun control when we have nearly all time low gun homicide rates (especially in 2019, where they have continued to fall from 2008).

Well, you did just take a parody graph consisting of MS paint arrows seriously enough to challenge its scientific validity. I'm not saying you have a low IQ or bad genetics, but...

Not sure he was ever that good. I like Parker but he just isn’t that good apart from a very narrow win over Ruiz. He had a tough fight with Takam who isn’t that good.

Parker looked unimpressive against punch bags like Cojanu. I’d even say Hughie Fury lost the fight to Parker because of his own doing, not because Parker was really any better. If Hughie had a better game plan to throw a bit more, he would’ve beaten Parker.

Right now Parker can dine out a bit longer because Ruiz just beat AJ, so Parker being the only man to beat Ruiz still gives him an little bit of credibility but it won’t last. Parker will lose again once he steps up.

I was defending the well-established global correlation between higher civilian firearm ownership and lower homicide rates.

If you can't tell the graph is poking fun at arbitrary public hysteria & is not a literal list of homicide rate flashpoints, then I don't know if I can help you.

Friend, it's simple. Less guns = less gun deaths. That's proven, worldwide. And the gun nutz (maybe you're one, maybe not) refuse to even allow us to debate common sense gun laws reforms unless we know all the latest 'gun lingo'. THAT is pure b.s. that will eventually come back to haunt the gun enthusiasts. ALLOW debates, or suffer the consequences. No more of this 'well then only criminals will have guns', 'you wanna take all our guns' b.s. Neither holds any weight. The gun crowd doesn't need ARs/AKs whatever. I have ONE .22 semi-auto rifle and a basic 9MM. One for target practice, the other for my GF when I'm outta town. It's all I need. I don't need an arsenal. No one does. ALLOW debate on the subject, so we can get some common sense gun laws reforms... assault weapon ban, nationwide database, regularly scheduled tests to prove competence to operate the guns etc. We have to work together to reduce gun violence. It HAS to happen. And no more of this 'well I'm a safe gun owner so don't chastise me'. Because every day some gun 'expert' shoots themselves while cleaning their gun, shoots their friend while on the hunting trip, their kid shoots themselves or a friend because the parent didn't properly store the gun... the list is long. The examples are endless. Acknowledge there IS a problem, and let's work TOGETHER to fix it.
