Comments Thread For: Who Should Canelo Fight Next? Here are 5 Compelling Possibilities

By Michael Rosenthal - Ah, it's nice to have options. Canelo Alvarez would tell you that. Alvarez in October signed a five-year, 11-fight deal worth at least $365 million with the streaming service DAZN, meaning money isn't necessarily the principal factor in deciding who he fights going forward. The Mexican supersta...

Anyone other than Golovkin. Give us something fresh. Even cans are OK.

GGG should be his next opponent.
He deserves the chance to get his titles back having 2 fights with only a point between them.
If Nelo doesn't fight GGG next he's just aging G in my opinion.

Does it matter? DAZN will pay him a lot of money to fight anybody, he can't lose his WBC title under any circumstance. I have never seen anything like this.

            5) Andrade

I completely disagree with that bollocks !!

            1) Golovkin

Canelo clearly/cleanly beat Golovkin in the rematch.....

..... and NO, Golovkin does not deserve another payday

divisional supremacy is the most important factor..... so if Golovkin flatly refuses to participate in fights that are divisionally relevant, then he has earned nothing

            2) Smith

Smith simply cannot be Canelo's best option NEXT..... he does not have the supposed allure of Golovkin, he is not a money-fight, and he may not even be the best SMW..... Andrade and Charlo to become undisputed at middleweight are much better fights

            3) Kovalev

            wtf ?

            4) Charlo

NO, not in favor of Andrade..... Charlo, Smith, and Golovkin..... will always be there

            1) Andrade
            2) Charlo
            3) Smith
            4) Golovkin
            5) Kovalev

Rosencuck strikes again. Who says Canelo vs Andrade is dead? And this clown has the audacity to act as if him unifying with Andrade wouldn't make him the full unified champ despite everyone already recognizing this belt as wba super,& despite him already being the unified lineal,he has the lineal & the 3 original belts that matter, thats 4 legit full belts & that means hes undisputed regardless if he doesn't have wbo. Common sense the franchise champ will be allowed to unify with WBC thats asanine to think otherwise.

So again thats ****** to think him vs Andrade won't be recognizable as completely undisputed, even charlo said he now wants to beat canelo for a bigger belt than one he now has like diamond hell receive

                technically, maybe

                but fk... " technically "

if he beats Andrade... he is the lineal, ring, WBA, IBF, WBO, champ

he would be undisputed imho, simply because he is the best ranked WBC fighter

but beating Charlo after Andrade would stamp/seal/cement that fact
