Throw Margarito in there & make it a triple threat for another one of those random WBC belts they've been making up for Canelo.
One remembers the gatti-Ward fights.....10 round affairs, no titles, neither fighter going on to glory and both considered to have done what they were going to do in boxing....but they clashed perfectly in a throw back Italian vs Irishman. Sometimes a fight is just a good fight....

Honestly I think Ward (and Gatti, if he we were still alive) would be offended by any comparison to Chavez Jr. Never mind his lack of commitment to his training, the way he stunk out the arena against Canelo alone should disqualify that kind of comparison - both of those guys would have been ashamed to put on a showing like that, especially on a massive PPV card.

As for Angulo, sure, he's always been an entertaining fighter without an ounce of quit in him, but his time is long, long past. He was shot five years ago. No way you slice it, this is a bad fight.

That's because they know a hype job when they see one.

Agreed, a good fight is a good fight regardless of what is at stake.
