Comments Thread For: Daniel Dubois Has No Concern if Gorman Checks His Chin

DANIEL DUBOIS BELIEVES taking a whack on the whiskers in his last fight is a box ticked for him and only increases his determination to avoid a repeat. Dubois, just 21, engaged in a shootout back in April against the then 14-1 Ghanaian Richard Lartey at Wembley. The hooks were winging in from all angles before Dubois stopped the dangerous Lartey in the fourth round.

Gorman has superior boxing skills and is faster. Dubois is possibly stronger as a puncher. Interesting fight for sure, I hope Gorman wins.

Dubois didn't exactly say that in the interview.

"Yeah, but it is a fight though and if you are not exactly sharp and on point in getting your head out of the way then you are going to get clipped," he reasoned. "I got clipped, but no big deal, I got through it and came back firing on all cylinders.

"It made me that bit sharper so as not to get clipped again. It was a learning experience."
I think this will be a great fight between two really good prospects. More often than not prospects this good have been avoiding each other, afraid to lose that "0"

      Props to both!.

There’s some people in the game in the UK that think Dubois might have a very suspect chin.

Not sure if there’s any substance to it from gym stories, or whether it’s pure speculation. I suppose time will tell. A good source told me that he might be a bit of a David Price i.e looking like a wrecking ball at a lower level but didn’t have the durability to get into a higher level.

Who knows. I think Gorman will test all those things.

Another thing is Gorman and Hatton have been really fancying this fight for a while, like they know something.

He has that feel to him, I hope it’s wrong though and he is a wrecking ball.

As a man who likes a flutter you bet on the man with the speed advantage and the neater boxer here. I’d trust. Gorman to keep his shape
And composure for the whole fight. I’d have a doubt Dubois could blow up.

            Is Gorman related to Fury?

The Fury clan are all up in the game how many of them are pro boxers?

They are cousins. Fury is also the cousin of Hosea Burton. Supposedly a distant relative of Andy Lee too, which is how Fury trained at Kronk gym for a short time and got to know Steward.

Dubois has good power - nothing more. Price has way more power. Dubois will be too much for Gorman anyway.
