You need to be realistic. Haymon advised Charlo to take step aside money. The Charlo that beat Trout would not beat Canelo, and Haymon would be afraid of the cards. A loss to Canelo and Jermall Charlo loses value representing PBC.
If Harrison was fast enough to clip Jermell with counters there no way he’d beat Canelo.
Charlo Bros. are all smoke and mirrors. Even Lara said he’d fight a Charlo and that the trainer wouldn’t be a problem, no different with Jacobs and Devrenchenko. Of course Haymon protected Charlos from Lara, and unfortunately industry don’t like Haymon that much of industry don’t press or instigate the real fights we want to see within their in-house securement.
Lara been nothing but a gatekeeper to raise Haymon’s new gen. If Lara said he’d fight GGG at 160 then what’s stopped GGG from going to 160 anyways? All PBC insecurity and bureaucracyComment

Andrade is happy. He is a 2 weight division Champ. He spooked out BJs twice! Also, the WBO allows Champions to rise to another class and fight for the title. Andrade could chase BJs at 168. BJs don’t want that smoke and would beg for it to be in the UK for UKAD safety.Comment

Hey I am more than willing to bash the so-called governing bodies of boxing as they are corrupt. But you can say Charlo became the mandatory challenger via that very same corruption. Otherwise how could one explain letting Charlo become the #1 conetnder by fighting Hugo Centeno and a one legged Jorge Sebastian Heilan. Then "mandatory" doesn't mean what I think it does, and sanctioning bodies don't disregard their own rules like I thought they did. It wasn't naivete that caused me to reply in the manner I did, more than it was me expecting other people to bash the sanctioning bodies, and not the guy who worked himself to the mandatory position. Then again, I guess that was naive.Comment

If Charlo or Jacob's wanted the fight why didn't either one just go to Haymon and tell him to make the fight? No excuse as to why it could not of been made. The usual reasons to not a make a fight were not there. They both have the same manager and both (at the time) fought on the same networks.
The truth is Jacob's maybe wanted the fight, but did not want to bad enough to go to Haymon and push for it. Charlo did not want the fight at all. As for Haymon he also did not want the fight to happen.Comment

I have been following boxing for 30+ yrs. Anyway, are you an idiot? If you define what Charlo has been doing for the past several yrs "chasing" Canelo then you need a dictionary.
Let's see Charlo's resume the past 3 yrs Heiland, Centeno, Korobov. Only 3 fights in 3 yrs. Yeah, with these big names and superfights on his resume he is right on Canelo's tail!
BTW, it looks like we finally found the one Charlo fan that is in existence.Comment

Yeah, what you described here is some real in depth negotiating to get the fight done. God, with the info you just displayed the fight seemed just about a done deal with a date, place, and contract all tied up in a nice bow. With such incredible information it seems that Charlo was deep in training for the Jacob's fight before it was called off at the last moment!
Yeah, I agree Haymon is the only one making fights happen. But the problem is the fights he is making happen suck plus (according to attendance records) no one wants to see the fights he is making.Comment

The WBC should of sent Charlo vs. Golovkin to a purse bid , then if they couldn't agree to make the fight happen , remove both of them from their ranking's.Comment

Yeah so far... Andrade just won his belt last fight didn't he? What did he do before that at 160 to deserve getting in with GGG or Canelo while they were busy fighting each other?
Charlo won't ever get the chance if he doesn't go to DAZNComment

Oscar and his team have destroyed Alvarez's Legacy with this deplorable move. Canelo, will not be able to rinse this stain off an already shaky legacy.
In his career fans have seen necessary catch weights, gift decisions, the promotion of smaller fighters, rehydration clauses and the ever so ridiculous Canelo weight class of “155,” to avoid 154’s top contenders.
However this Franchise Duck is the smoking gun. The duck is no longer speculation.
What a hollow victory for a so called undisputed world champion. What a cowardly act. Is this how Mexico defends its titles?
What is weaker than the “We kept you out the ring belt?”
Canelo should wear that trash with shame it evoked. A Franchise champion quacking for a newly confirmed sham of a Franchise in the WBC.Comment
Jacobs ducked him.
