I think any obvious disadvantages to the opponent are going to take away from the victory, no matter who you are. Pac drained some of his opponents. Latter day Floyd feasted on guys stepping up in weight, and on old men.

It's just where boxing has gone with the total absence of genuine champions. It's cooler to force guys to fight on your terms, on your turf, in your own sweet time. The "A side" calls the shots...because there's no one to make them fight the toughest, youngest competition. Jesus, look at the welterweight division. All those great fighters. But they can't fight each other at the top. Why should they? Maybe later, in a few years when some obvious advantages become apparent. Not now.

Cotto was drained more than Canelo and Floyd beat a 10lb bigger version of Cotto, not all CWs kill a guy like when Oscar was contracted to make 147 after 10 yrs at 154-160.

2lb to one guy can be nothing and to another the straw that broke the camels back.

Manny has manipulated weight like no other fighter in the history of boxing.

cotto fought clottey at 146 and manny at 145. so it was only 1lb in this fight. floyd had to drained fat ass canelo who had to use mexican beef down to 152. that's 2lbs. try again.

The biggest fights of Pacquiaos career were not catchweights.

              130 Morales, marquez
              140 Hatton
              147 delahoya

The Cotto fight was the only one I thought was questionable.

I don't credit any of his catweight fights.

                    They aren't impressive.

                    I could Kick Tyson Fury's ass...if we fought at a catch-weight of 175lbs Lol

I could have beaten a prime Mike Tyson in his hay day...if we would have fought at a catchweight of 165lbs.

Would have been a walking skeleton. I would have murdered him in the ring...
