If this fight was to take place in 2009, Id pick Diaz all the way. I really don't think Diaz is ready for Pacquiao. On all reality, has Diaz really beaten anyone?

Noone is using Diaz's record as the basis of their arguement...

It's Diaz destruction of opponents that have the fans buzzing...

    We'll soon see...

I think diaz is more schooled than PAC. PAC is still learning new punches, combinations, and strategies and plan B stuff.

DIAZ knows what he can do and is a very, very intelligent fighter.

What happen to barrera fighting PAC? They have 3 year limit on rematch on first fight.

Well, Pacquiao has to fight him now. Hope he really meant what he said because Diaz has accepted.

U have to look at Diaz's record also as the basis of the argument. Diaz might have destroyed his opponents, but look at the quality of his opponents. Who has he beaten lately that is consider a top fighter? Diaz has a good defense and is relently attacking his opponents. Can he do that to top fighters, not necessarily against Pac, but Jesus Chavez, Barrera, and Chico.
Diaz does a great job of defending his head, but with Pacquiao punching to the body, he will try to stop the body punching but will open up his head.

                    I'm well aware of this...

That's why i would never claim Diaz as the true 135 titilist..or any other title that compares Diaz rightfully to what he has yet to earn...

But, i'm basing my opinion on his chances against a smaller Pacquiao on what he has done to his other opponents, his style, his speed, defence, and overall boxing prowess...

If there is a 3 year limit on the rematch, then it will expire, Pac will fight in November against Pacquiao and Barrera against Juarez in September.
