Saunders is main one who comes to mind...

I think I'd rather see that than the Canelo fight (or at least equally).

From a promoter's standpoint, Munguia ? Ummm, I just don't know. They could probably spin it, but you're right NSB and critics would have a field day. It wouldn't be pretty. Nah.

Go to 168 and try to get a fight with Smith. Don't know if DAZN has Smith or how the politics would work out. I'd like to see him fight without weight cuts. Going for a title at a catch weigh doesn't cut it IMO.

        He should retire.

He's 37, he made $30 million last year.

He's past his prime and won't be any better

Whoever the next highest ranked, available contender or titlist is always the best guy for a champion to fight. Nothing has changed. Personally I'd like to see BJS but I know they will go nowhere near GGG.

I think he should fight Jaime Munguia and I would say fight him in Mexico.

Munguia is young and flawed and in a smaller weight class. But he’s got a pretty record and a title.

The most popular narrative surrounding him is that he was the GGG opponent that the NSAC didn’t approve but then proved himself by winning a title at 154. Lets face it, only the guys who really pay attention know he’s struggled recently and that Sadam Ali flamed out.

I think it’s a sure thing victory for GGG and I think only the people who really follow boxing would criticize Munguia as an opponent. I think it could reignite the Canelo rivalry a bit with a national revenge narrative and also the Golden Boy Promotions revenge narrative.

And if I was Munguia, I would take that fight. You have nothing to lose, no one expects him to win. GGG is old and probably as ripe for the picking as he’ll get. That chance likely isn’t coming again. And if he does win, he’ll fight Canelo next and be a fight away from being the biggest thing in boxing.

It all totally makes sense to me.

Tell me who you would fight next if you were GGG.
Make a poll.. you are asking the right questions, poll please.

My God, this is the way GGG fans actually think. They have no real confidence in GGG's ability to beat top fighters. They don't want any real challenges for him. They are just as obsessed with Canelo as GGG. This is why boxing is in such bad shape because of fans like this. I am surprised they and GGG are not trying to pull Paul Williams out of retirement for a fight.

Munguia is a 154 fighter so that's pointless.

One of the champs or lesser titles GGG should target. Guys like Andrade (WBO), Brant (WBA World) or Charlo (Interim WBC) to entice Canelo to fight him for the rubber match.

Whoever GGG fights, he has to do it now and fight often cause he's not getting any younger. I think this might be GGG's last good year before Father time rears its ugly head.
