In hindsight, in view of the calamity that transpired in Briedis vs. Glowaki over the poor selection of officials that Don Mauricio Sulaiman had initially opposed ; I think its safe to say Mr. president Mauricio Sulaiman was right to pull out the most prestigious WBC title out of that carnival show ran by the buffoons of the WBO and WBSS.

Let the professionals run the show, the WBC is the flag-bearer for the sport of boxing. Thank you Mr. presidente.

The elbow was bad, but it came right after Glowacki threw a bad rabbit punch. But two wrongs don't make a right. Glowacki should have had up to 5 minutes to recover and Briedis should have had two points deducted. A one point deduction is for accidental fouls. If not for the rabbit punch right before I'd say that elbow warranted a DQ.

But that crap with the ref was insane. Fight should have been declared a no contest. I couldn't believe Byrd was counting for that knockdown 12 seconds after the bell.

Having trouble debating one point there. That elbow could have been a DQ.

I do not think Glowacki wins against either, but he absolutely needs to be given the shot. This was a serious ugly black eye on the tournament.
