Why do people question Usyk size?

Usyk is taller than Ruiz and Povetkin, both were schooling 6 ft 6 Joshua.

He beat 6ft 6 joe Joyce, and evidently was a handful for Wlad in Fury fight when they sparred.

One thing to think hes not good enough, but to think hes not big enough is bizzare, isn't he bigger than miller and Hunt.

He is overrated in terms of his boxing ability.

'Soon as he plays with any of the big boys at heavyweight? He will be dismantled'.

Yea idk about the whole "he's not big enough sh^t" if thats what some people are suggesting.

I think there are questions & concerns with if he can hang with bigger guys as far as dealing with their reach/weight & maybe most importantly how he handles being hit by one of these giant elephants of the ring.

Usky will be another Thomas Adamek.

There is nothing GREAT that he is bringing to the heavyweight division. If you are a smaller fighter moving up, you need to have a great attribute, and he has none 'David Haye had speed, Cat like reactions, Hayemakers' etc. Usyk is just a solid well schooled fighter in every department 'So he will have some success at heavyweight, but he is not beating any of the top heavyweights in my opinion'

As a cruiser weight he was completely overrated, when I watch his fights? I just see a fighter who is good at fighting from long range, with straight punchers. He does not hit hard enough, work rate is average and speed is nothing special.

When David Haye moved into the heavyweight division, the entire division was on red alert. Nobody is afraid or intimated by Usyk.

My opinion - For his big fans it's the excuse at the ready for when he loses. And his skill is good, but way overrated, his fight with Briedis was a very close one. His skill level is not close to being as good as Tyson Fury's. His work rate, and ability to go through the gears after often slow starts, are what make him a world class fighter. I could see him beating anyone except Fury (skill) and Wilder (power) I see 50-50 with the likes of Joshua, Ruiz JR, Ortiz, etc. I find the cruiserweight division to be competitively filled with really good guys, but very few top ones, and to be much weaker than heavyweight. For example, I'd say Joseph Parker is around world number 10 heavy, if he were the same, but a cruiser, I'd have him number 1 in that division now that Usyk has left it.

Wasn't he getting outboxed by Bellew before knocking him out?

Breidis arguably beat him. Michael Hunter arguably won the first four rounds before getting out muscled by Usyk afterwards when Usyk picked up his pace and work rate.

It's tough to tell how good he will be. He will be good but how good? Hunter is good for example.

the heavyweight division is an open division

Usyk should get a chance like everyone else. If he is the goods, so be it. It has nothing to do with his size.

I assume Usyk walks around 215-220. At 6'3, with a 78 inch reach that would make him a good sized HW. He's about the same size as Luiz Ortiz, except Ortiz is heavier.
