Paulie has been shot for years even before he was destroyed by Sam Eggington, spent the last 3yrs sniffing coke and eating pizza, basically didn't throw a punch for almost half the fight and still Artem needed a gift decision.

Boxing scene scored the fight for Paulie 3 rounds to 2. Paulie is not a champion boxer now. He is a washed up retired ex champion famous for being a light puncher. A boxer like Pacquiao with fast hands and power would KO that guy. Even a much lesser boxer who could punch some like Horn or Khan would knock him out quickly. Don't have weak punching Paulie as the representative of boxing. That paints a false picture.

You need a mean puncher like GGG, Kovalev Canelo, Tyson etc. who is skilled in the ring and have probably been in many street fights. A guy like that would be murder in a street fight. They can use their boxing skills and power and not be restricted by rules.

Against a guy who doesn't know what he's doing, or someone who has also been misinformed, sure.

Look at what happened when Ray Mercer fought in Kickboxing. Then look at how much worse things went against Kimbo (who had even less MMA training than Mercer).

A lot of the things taught in Boxing have to be untaught in Kickboxing. And then those skills are usually further pared down for MMA.

Look at how Boxers used to fight when it was more of a fight and less of a sport.

It's not just Boxing. Look at Rugby and gridiron football from the 60's... that's how "football" was played in england before it became a University/Association (soccer) sport. Messi is the greatest athlete the world has ever seen, but forget about global phenomenon, do you think he would even be the star of his village centuries ago in the original football? The dude probably wouldn't even leave the sidelines w/ the other spectators.
