I think the scores were actually accurate. Paulie did not do enough to win. It was not a terrible performance but he showed some of the same deficiencies on this level that have showed up in his boxing losses. He does not engage and throw combinations and basically uses good upper body movement and feints lots of feints to throw his jab but even his jab is not a damaging Jab or an aggressive jab.

he uses it to control distance so it was a very tactical fight. Neither guy landed a high percentage I think artem lobov landed harder shots though even if they were not very many and he did a little more work in the clinch he mentioned after the fight that the ref broke the clinches to early which is a possibility because in bare-knuckle boxing you're supposed to let them fight a little bit in the clinch. This also should confirm to anyone that Paulie malignaggi is never going to admit to any sort of defeat I think he probably took a much worse pummeling in the fight against the sparring match against Conor McGregor. McGregor actually won some rounds against Floyd Mayweather for that reason alone I think he did not lose many rounds against Paulie malignaggi.

Paulie let's be honest here his best trait has always been his mouth he's a good talker and he gets a rise out of you guys every time.
