Parker is perfect benchmark for Usyk to see if he can beat an average sized heavyweight with good speed and durability and decent technical ability and who can turn his lights out with one shot
Imo Usyk has a decent CW chin but hes no Ray Mercer in chin dept
The WBO's decision had some resistance, because Dillian Whyte is the top rated boxer in the weight class - and he wanted the sanctioning body to delay a ruling until July 22 - two days after Whyte faces Oscar Rivas in London.
Whyte appears to be in hot pursuit of a mandatory shot against WBC champion Deontay Wilder. Whyte has been the WBC's top rated challenger for nearly 600 days.
And the WBO argued that Usyk's status as the "super champion" at cruiserweight has given him enough merit to step over Whyte
Whyte has been getting bad advice from Hearn. Making him turn down eliminators and now Usyk leapfrogs him & will get a title shot before him.
Usyk gave up his belts. His status as super champ should be meaningless now. Remember andre ward had to give up his 168 belt before he moved up, then had to fight the #1 ranked wbo guy to make sure he could even get the kovalev fight??? At least make usyk fight whyte.
Wtf are you talking about? Kovalev wanted Ward years before Ward waited for Kovalev to get past prime and drunk and fight him. Ward didn't have to "make sure to even get Kovalev." They were begging for that fight. Ward was never his mandatory. That was a voluntary defense THUS THE REMATCH CLAUSE N00B or are you not familiar with that either?
The absolute worst. They used to be chill but they got out of hand when they were winning all those titles & thought they could beat American and Mexican fighters. As soon as they stepped up they lost all those titles. They've been coming over here getting their ass beat. At least they still have Calghaze/Lacy to hold onto

lol Usyk has been crushing fatties like Ruiz in the amateurs his whole career.
He's beaten fighters in the amateurs who have probably beaten Ruiz.
Ruiz holds no physical advantages over him. Usyk is the same height, has a longer reach but isn't a fat slob. Plus he can move well. It's debateable whether or not Ruiz punches harder.
Ruiz also won't have the handspeed advantage in that fight.
It'll be one of the easiest fights of Usyk's career.
