Good thread...A lot of good fights mentioned here that I never watched in their entirety, that I now want to check out to see what I think of them.

My 2 cents on some of the fights mentioned:

Kov-Ward 1 - worst decision I ever watched live...felt Ward was clearly beaten and with Kov probably being the bigger star and the champion, just never saw those scorecards coming.

Castillo-Mayweather - felt it was a 7-5, draw type of fight...probably shading it to Mayweather

Hagler-Leonard - felt it was a clear win for Leonard...he was up like 5-1 I think with no issues...Hagler just didn't really do anything the first half of the fight.

Fury-Wilder - felt a draw was fair...first 6 rounds were tight with not much action and Wilder probably landing the better shot in a few rounds where not much landed...last 6 were all Fury pretty much, apart from the KDs.

SRR - Gonzalez 1 - great fight, no issue with a draw. Didn't actively score it live but just felt it was a draw type fight the whole way basically...great action and just a great fight.

Good thread though - I want to check out some of the other fights that were mentioned on here. I've looked for some before (May-Maidana 1) on youtube and they aren't easily accessible sometimes.

I disagree with this.

I think boxing fans overrate Floyd's 0 to Floyd more than Floyd woulda lived & died on his 0. I think Floyd just knew how to control his narrative & the 0 story was a good story to get some hate & attention. And if he'd have taken an L to JLC or anyone else the whole "Floyd Project" doesn't crumble into nothingness. He just pivots the narrative.

I mean most of the reason fans hated him & came to see him lose was because of his persona not his 0. People still coming to Broner fights more than they should to watch him lose & I legit gotta boxrec Broner to recall how many L's he gots these days. Think its 5 or some sh^t off the top of my head. So if Floyd had lost the hate for Floyd woulda still been there & fans wouldn't have dried up cuz he lost.

I guess not unlike Broner if Floyd had continue to take L's his Q score would diminish like Broner's has, but on the level Floyd was on I don't think it dries up quite as much as Broner's did. I mean even if Broner gots 4 weight division titles he was never on the tip top of the sport like Floyd was. Think he was top 5 P4P once pre-Chino, but that was his high water mark & its been downhill since.

Yiur reasons are the ones why I feel he wouldn’t make as much. To be clear I don’t say he wouldn’t be ****** rich. Just no where near as rich. Many wanted to see him lose. Once. True his persona had a lot to do with it. It like you said broner is a carbon copy and Floyd and made Penny’s compared to Floyd.

Floyd would have always made money. He knew how to sell fights. And win em.

Me and my girl just went to the Dominican Republic last month and we'll be going to Cancun and Vegas later on this year so it won't be till early next year if we go....
We still debating whether to go to Japan or South Africa.
I really love Lions and it's been my dream to see Lions out in their natural habitat living and hunting warthogs,...
But I'll let you know if we decide to go to Japan instead of South Africa.
