That's was a very bad bullshit stoppage by the referee! If a fighter can't protect themselves then they shouldn't be allowed to fight in a prize ring in the first place. This smacks of Taylor vs Chavez I.

Taylor was beating the living shit out of Chavez and was ahead on the judges scorecards but the damn referee stopped the fight. This isn't amateur fighting.

This is professional prizefighting where the fighters are paid a lot of money to fight in the ring. The ref should have allowed Acosta to go out on his shield because he was dominating that fight!

Mexican Boxing School is hard, the fights are not joke in the national level.

I watched a lot of fights of journeymen fighters and there were too brutal.

But this kid Soto has like 200 amateur fights.

        Hahahahahahaha

Taylor was in hospital like 2 weeks after the fight vs Chávez and actually he has brain damage

Acosta was out, look at his eyes, he was out, brutally hurted.

        Referee save his life.

Acosta did not dominate it was a close fight he was getting outworked the early rounds and got put on his back Soto gassed in the later rounds and Acosta landed some nice combos but Soto was there with him just getting outlanded a rematch would be good I'm sure it will happen.

If the officials and referees want to save a fighter's life, then don't let them fight in the first place because getting brutally hurt is what fighters do all the time. This is not the amateurs. It's professional prizefighting for Christ's sake. These guys are paid and making a lot of money to risk their lives in the ring. So let them fight. The money more than outweigh the risks.

Steele Made a question to Taylor and he never said anything

Both ribs of Taylor were broken and he could die in the ring

I didn't see the fight that way. Sure, Soto had his moments like the knockdown but for the vast majority of that fight, Acosta was dominating him.

No impartial or unbiased person can deny that fact. He was outpunching Soto by more than a 3 to 1 margin, beating him to the punch and constantly outlanding him. I just believe the referee did him dirty.

The only ones who were excited and satisfied by that stoppage are partial and biased fans in favor of Soto anyway. It's because they knew that he was getting his asswhupped and needed a gift and miracle from the referee, in order to win that fight. They knew he was on the verge of losing it on the judges scorecards.

Then Goddamned why didn't he stop the fight sooner not with just one fucking second remaining on the clock? Perhaps he should have stopped it by the seventh round then.

So that way he could have saved Meldrick's life and spared him the damage that was done to his brain from which he is suffering today. That's how you save a life.

So in that regard he failed Taylor again as well. Richard Steele didn't do shit or a Goddamned thing for Meldrick Taylor but robbed the man of his legacy, moment, glory and honor by ruining his career!
