Comments Thread For: Roach: Machado Got A Bit Lazy; Loss To Cancio Was Wakeup Call

Whatever happens Friday night, Freddie Roach at least is satisfied with how Alberto Machado prepared for his immediate rematch against Andrew Cancio. Roach can't say the same thing about their fight February 9, in which Cancio scored a huge upset. Machado spent just four weeks training for that fight at Roach's Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California.

Cancio was just too much for him that's all. Machado just doesn't have the balls to compete with the likes of a Cancio which was why he was KO by a body punch. That is the ultimate sign of cowardice and weakness. Perhaps moving up in weight would do him some good.
