Bob can't seem to take them to the next level. He seems to be a good stepping stone though. Floyd blew up after Oscar gave him a chance under his banner.

well I think for Oscar and Cotto, he took them to their peaks in terms of popularity, Floyd was a different story. Floyd made a conscious decision to market himself differently. He did things like dancing with the stars, wrestlemania to become more of a household name and then he moved on from the pretty boy title to the money persona and decided that making himself a "villain" would be in his best financial interest.. And he was right. Arum never would've went that route.

I suppose that could be true. Let's agree that fury is never going to make it as a star in America. He is playing to the WWE side of America and thinks it will sell like hot cakes.

Boxing is like cokk fighting not like wwe. People that watch boxing want to see damage especially in the hw division. It's prize fighting, kind of like fight club. It's not a sport like NBA that you come for the hot dogs and popcorn every day or week. Fury has the game all wrong.

fury will probably gain some more popularity in the US than what he currently has, but won't become the superstar he thinks he is.

Don't worry guys his next fight with Fres Oquendo will do numbers that would make MayPac tremble in comparison.

Nope, De La Hoya allowed Floyd to fight him on the condition that Floyd would be a Goldenboy fighter. It was the old WCW model. Floyd, the bad guy, Ric Flair, was a Goldenboy employee who would fight the good guys, Mexican and Mexican American stars, in Goldenboys stable every Mexican holiday. Floyd just had to show up. Goldenboy would create his opposition. Victor Ortiz, Robert Guerrero, and Marcos Maidan were never world class and Canelo was too green back then. Goldenboy made Floyd and the entire PBC roster. Al Haymon, PBC, and Floyd owe their success to Oscar De La Hoya. Oscar De La Hoya is their daddy...! #FACTS
