To each his own. That was Jacobs's risk assessment and the fight was for the belt btw to gain leverage with Canelo. GGG does not feel he needs to take the same path to get Canelo. I agree with this - he is a star in boxing today regardless of what boxing fans, some of whom have IQ equal to their age, think. What matters is the end result and how a fight fits into the strategy. As a fan I want to see Khan and Brook finally fight even though they clearly have overmarinaded this fight, but I understand Khans's strategic decisions to pick other fights. It certainly can be fear of Brook, but more likely like a pragmatic business approach. Khan was right when he said that Brook fight would always be there. Brook is not the same draw as Khan, let's be real.
And back to GGG, I just think GGG got ruthlessly business savvy. We'll see if it pays off. Besides, he already beat Canelo at least once so...and yet he is still chasing that fight. Unlike Canelo may I point out. Canelo like a thief in the night - stole the "precious" and disappeared in the night.
