Dude ain't gonna stop - his entire presence on here revolves around insulting Golovkin fans. Best I can tell he's an extreme Floyd fanboy who lost his way a lil when Mayweather retired and is still salty that some GGG fans sleighted Floyd. Bit of a strange way to spend your life if you ask me, but it takes all sorts I guess... sad thing was before he got onto the GGG hating gig he'd occasionally come out with some Ok posts, whereas all he's good for now is the same endless litany of logical fallacies and insults. Had him on ignore forever but dude gets quoted so often I still get to see the pointless trash he writes.

Here's my take on a very interesting and relevant question that was asked in the other thread on this same topic.

Serious question - if two guys fight, and each round they land the same punches on the other, but you feel one guy shows better defense every round, would you score it 12-0/how would you score it? To me that is a 6-6 fight all day...not to mention that one could see it as the guy who threw more punches was controlling the action by negating his opponent from even attempting to score on him...so you could value his 'defense and ring generalship' as much as the other fighter who slipped more punches

Good question, and it highlights what I believe is a major problem with the way boxing is scored - the scoring criteria are too subjective. Personally, I use only 2 criteria when scoring fights - who landed the most clean punches, and the visible effect those punches had on the opponent. And I'm not talking about facial damage there, I'm talking about a fighter being visibly hurt or shaken by a punch, which I only apply if I see the number of punches landed by both fighters as even.

If I see the number of punches landed by both as even, and neither was visibly hurt by the other, then I score that round as even.

I don't agree with pressuring judges to always pick a winner and a loser after every round. The problem with that policy is that it promotes subjectivity over objectivity, and gives too much leeway and wiggle room to biased judges who may be looking for reasons to favour one guy over the other.

You're exaggersting. There is no way Golovkin missed 1000 punches.
There is no game going as you put it. When two fighters get in the ring it's what happens in that fight not how they fought previous fights. Using your logic Canelo should be penalized because he had a radical change in style from his first fight. Any fighter that changed styles in the ring is going to be penalized if they follow this ridiculous arguement. Golovkin did not get beat up in the second fight. He had some superficial facial swelling and a cut. Canelo also had a cut. Golovkin did not get hurt at any point in the fight. You really need to to step back from your obsession with Canelo because you are losing credibility with these outlandish statements.

This is a dumb thread created by a dumb fan. It's a combination of who lands more and who lands cleaner and harder more. That's it.

So true...not that hard to understand lol...but I think some are compelled to move the goalposts when what happens in the ring doesn't suit their preferred fighter...we are all probably guilty of that in a way...but some keep it a little more 'real' than others..

Ah I even score my home fighters losing fights and get pissed off at robberies. I don't care what some can say due to the openness to interpretation the notion of clean power punching is in the eyes of certain judges and audiences.

The truth is there are very few times where one fighter has 7+ clear rounds in a fight...which means if one fighter gets all or most of the close rounds...voila they are the winner.

I personally don't think most fights are that difficult to find the winner...I feel 95% have clear winners...5% are Lara/Hurd, Charlo/Korobov, etc type of fights...7-5 either way or 6-6 fights.
