For me, as well as Ruiz fought in the 1st fight up until AJ's round from darkness there wasn't anything in it. The first was even and AJ actually won the second. When AJ put Ruiz down, he shouldn't have gone looking for the KO as when Ruiz got up he wasn't buzzed, still on steady legs and throwing dangerous punches (also has superior hand speed, you can't trade off close range with someone who can beat you to the punch).

As a few have said before AJ needs to fight at mid to long range, using his height and go for the KO if it presents himself. Ruiz will have the confidence of beating AJ spectacularly before but I think AJ will get the win in the rematch.

Also, Joshua doesn’t seem able to coordinate his feet and hands to maintain his reach advantage against a fighter like Ruiz who is relatively short with short arms.
“Refocus” honestly does not even begin to address the reasons Ruiz defeated Joshua.
      Very true.

Also i’ve been saying that AJ is not a natural boxer, he doesn’t have that coordination. He’s a late starter and it’s taken 11 years to create a very basic style that is effective enough usually, but still very basic. If it’s taken 11 years to get to this point, he isn’t going to start adding new things to his game in the next few months, he hasn’t got that ability.

People are saying he should fight this way and fight that way, use his reach and fight like the big man etc.. what? He’s going to suddenly learn all that by the end of the year when he hasn’t been able to in 11 years?

People say he showed that ability vs Parker which isn’t true. The ref broke it up every time Parker got near AJ. Upon seeing that Ruiz fight, you have to wonder how AJ v Parker might have looked if the ref actually let Parker near him.

Joshua is what he is and always will be.

I thought AJ would beat Ruiz, but after seeing the fight, i’m not sure how it would be massively different next time. That’s not to say AJ can’t win, he showed he can drop him and probably hurt him. But stylistically the fight is going to be more of the same. Ruiz was the most comfortable fighter in there from the start.

Ruiz is going to be even more confident of letting his hands go and AJ is going to be extremely cautious, which he can’t be against someone like Ruiz.

You have a great imagination but I have to admit that would be funny as hell.

Abel just saying what we already know, fat Andy Ruiz Jr will get destroyed in the rematch. Eddie Hearn should have delayed the fight like AJ father instructed him to do and this little façade would never have happened. Fully fit Joshua will chew up Ruiz and spit him out, hell a not 100% AJ was still good enough to be the first man to floor Ruiz.

Ruiz Jr will get to go to sleep in the rematch.

Backing the gym fighter i get, maybe its only the videos ive seen, they almost always side with the black American fighter. That seems to be the way the USA is now.Ringside i think everyone knew Fury had well beaten Wilder, but guys like Crawford refused to admit it, even though you could literally see they knew it too.I think the older generation, like Hagler and Leonard see the game as a whole as less sporting, more cynical, and Floyd gets abit of the blame for it. But Floyd is one of the few who isnt biased. When Ward got a dodgy nod over Kovalev, Floyd said what he was thinking. Its just boring when people are taking political. Im from the UK, but i dont make excuses for AJ ect. Ive still got eyes and my own mind.
