I always liked Kell Brook. Was rooting for him against Porter.

Shame we couldn't see him send Khan to Mars

He made his money to live very comfortably, just don't go to Spain on a coke binge.

Probably from the damage he got from those eye sockets, shame him and khan never made it happen

Probably 2 broken orbitals late. Definitely 1 broken orbital late.

Good move to get out. He's done well money-wise I assume & the damage he took in his last few fights is no good as far as him continuing in this game.

Shoulda announced it after the GGG fight. You'd think he woulda gotten paid retirement money for taking that fight & saving Eddie's ass. Nope. He had to fight on and got the other eye broke. Then continue fighting to try & get a Khan fight. Has to be one of the most mismanaged careers I've ever seen. He was right on the cusp of becoming a unified champion and could've gotten a Pacquiao fight. But instead he choose to save Eddie's ass. Smh

Might as well. He's naturally somewhere between 147 and 154 and he gets killed by the top guys in both weight classes at this point in his career.

That's too bad. Without his ill advised fight with Golovkin, I think his career and legacy might have been a very different one.

                  Good post man.

I like Eddie for the most part...but man he owes Brook about 100k a year for the rest of his life imo...he needs to be Brooks's retirement fund.

As you said Brook had a really promising career and to throw him in against a big puncher, 2 weight classes up, it ended up basically ending the dude's career. We have the benefit of hindsight now but Eddie owes him whatever he wants money-wise for taking that fight.

I thought he and Spence were the top two at 147 and I would have loved to see that fight with a healthy Brook. I still think Spence would have outworked him and won but I think it probably goes the distance and would have been a great fight. Still was pretty good but with Brook having lost/having his face broken beforehand, and then his face breaking again vs Spence it kind of put a damper on the solid fight.

Just a shame what happened to Brook's career. Hope he isn't done; then again if his face can't hold up, well yeah he should go. Just sucks.

Golovkin ruined his career. Hope the money was worth it.
