Just to show you how tricky and unregulated this whole charade is. I read an article hours after the fight explaining the situation, as I stated. I read an article on WBN this morning explaining the WBO spoke out after the bout and stated the title was on the line and Bredis was the champ. Could be a delay on Boxrec part or ? The fact nobody seems to know and its two days after the fact tells me there are no rules or regulation being followed.

... it seems that both WBC and WBO pulled off (very likely because the "Byrd family" situation)... Now: WBO has to rule over the present status of their belt; and WBSS has to rule over the Glowacki's protest... that's it...

Didn't the WBC back out from the fight because of disagreement with how the officials were selected ?

Were we all aware at the time they did this that Adalaide Byrd was going to be a judge (and her husband the referee) ?

No idea what the WBC's beef was with the officiating, but a pretty good case right there to say 'to hell with this!'

As for how Byrd should have handled it in a perfect world, shouldn't he have given BOTH Briedis and Glowacki a warning (deduction 2 points from each if he wanted to, but maybe not given it was equal), Glowacki for the punch to the base of the skull and Briedis for the retaliating elbow, then given BOTH 5 minutes to recover ?

Then the fight would have resumed once everyone had calmed down and no controversy (well, assuming Robert didn't screw up again, and until Adalaide Byrd's scorecard was read if it went 12).

All is Nice but you forgot to mention that First knockdown was aswell shot at the back of the head. 5x more devastating since Glowacki was ready to go down totaly unprotected.

It wasnt at the end of round but more like 10 seconds after round ended

One more odd thing I noticed on Boxrec , the Latvian Boxing Federation has suspended Glowacki till 7-13-2019

In divisions nobody cares about. Cruiserweight is like the D-League basketball or minor league baseball compared to Heavyweight. It's not one of the original boxing weight classes. I'm also surprised the WBSS didn't go broke from the lack of attention.

Real boxing fans should be disgusted by this result as it was very unprofessional and amateur hour.

I dont care if the cruiserweights are minor league. That tournament last year was awesome and usyk emerged from it.
