I've got no problem with Fury or any fighter taking a light tune-up fight from time to time. The ESPN deal, sure he deserves that too.
The only problem is what he's doing/saying out of the ring. He and Wilder both portrayed like they would have an immediate rematch. Boxing world was stoked, then kinda got bamboozled.
If you do happen to line up a "soft touch", how in God's name do you go about trashing and maligning others for taking a soft touch bout, weeks and days before YOU are about to do the very same thing ?
That's the only issue, for me. GGG did the same thing. Day before (give or take) he fights Steve Rolls, he was telling a microphone how horrible the sport of boxing has become because fighters no longer seek to "fight the best".
What the heck ?
It's not my practice to slander fighters or engage in any "fandom" talk whatsoever. My post history is evidence. I'm all for Fury, but a lot of what he reportedly says, is rather questionable. That's all.

Well, I'm not exactly sure we're including them in with Steve Rolls and Tom Schwartz, are we ?
Ya know what I mean ? If this had been a thread about Wilder at an earlier part of his career, I might be leading with him. Just so happens he has stepped up the competition a bit finally, after 35 fights or whatever.
