Well, no there hasn't been a German-born heavyweight champ since Schmeling.

I also should have asked "define German". Many of the bigger names in German boxing moved to Germany for opportunity and started their career, but are from elsewhere.

Like Klitschko of course. Marco Huck is German but born in Serbia. Dimitrenko German as well, but from Ukraine like Klitschko.

Erkan Teper is the only German German heavyweight I can think of outside of Schwarz.
