The irony is, what happened to AJ is what many of us thought would inevitably happen to Wilder. Because of Wilder not being a technical genius, he’s basically a KO waiting to happen because he’s gonna eventually walk into something big that he can’t bounce back from. But because AJ was so often compared to Wilder. It gave this false impression that AJ was was this technical genius that he never was. AJ has glaring holes in his game. And unlike Wilder, AJ doesn’t appear to have the chin, resolve, or once in a generation type punching power to cover up those holes. It is what it is.

As for Wilder blaming Hearn, that’s pure nonsense. Hearn is a promoter. It’s his job to hype his guy. It’s not his fault gullible fans drank the koolaid with very little substance to justify the hype. The only thing I can say they semi did wrong with AJ was that I think they started to believe the hype instead of what was in their face. But either way, very few people thought AJ would lose to Ruiz. Now that they have a better understanding of AJ’s weaknesses, they can try and match him accordingly. But you can’t avoid punchers with fast hands forever. And this isn’t a situation like what happen with Wladimir’s rebuilding. Where he and his big brother were basically the heavyweight tag team champions of the world. And if it was someone that might give Wladimir issues, they let big brother Vitali handle that. AJ is on his own.

Joshua probably put extra pressure for himself hoping for a spectacular KO especially after Wilder demolished Breazeale the way he did shortly before.

Hearn made it easy for someone like Wilder to gloat in Joshua's defeat. Joshua was doomed to be embarrassed by losing to someone that looked like Ruiz even if Hearn wasn't a factor.
To be fair though, AJ was more successful than Wilder in the US because Wilder has never sold that many tickets or had that many people watch him live.

It's the truth. The rematch will prove even more successful in selling. Wilder never has or ever will reach that unless AJ is in the opposite corner. But we all know Wilder is too scared to fight him. He'd rather talk than actually do it. But then again, that's what his whole career was built on. Nothing but talk and cowardice.

I’m sorry but no one in the USA cares about buatsi, Taylor, cheeseman, eggington, price, Taylor etc etc they just don’t care. Even the Joshua fight was almost all folk of Blighty. Without Joshua, Hearn is effectively without a star on dazn. On top of the pressure Hearn outs on Joshua, is the tremendous mindgames leading up to the fight that wilder and haymon played by working on and announcing fights with Ortiz and fury. Along with the brutal first round 1st round one punch ko of someone who went 7 with Joshua.....I think that 1-2 weeks of psychological warfare combined with the pressure of his debut in the USA really broke Joshua....on top of the fact he was facing the best opponent he ever has.
Ruiz was the best AJ had ever fought? No he wasn't. Out of the good or better opponents AJ has beaten, Parker was the lesser guy. And he beat Ruiz. The others would have a field day with him. Ruiz will not be around for long. He'll have his moment in the sun before normal business ensues.

You believe Wilder has a chin even though there is plenty of evidence on the contrary?

AJ had very little substance even though he's accumulated that kind of resume in only 22 fights? That's plenty of substance. And we're not even including his amateur career either to go with his pro credentials.

This clown has zero self awareness. It's worse than someone with mental health problems. But it's clear it's a major American characteristic because so many on here have the same problems. His delusion is off the scale too.
The d-bag Sid always chimes in with a moronic comment!

                  Yep, well said.

Was getting sick of smug ****y AJ talking about his legacy, and threatening his opponents with broken jaws, if they say any thing negative about the great almighty God AJ... lol

Hearn is out of Wilder's life now, albeit for a good while. Who would he be blaming for the next months to a year or so?

Hearn took a page from the movie " the Harder They Fall". Rod Steiger portrayed promoter Nick Benko who hyped a fraud boxer Toro Moreno. The brits are so desperate for a champ that they will embrace any chump that comes their way!
