Why does Margarito deserve a shot?

Love him or hate him Floyd Mayweather is considered the best p4p fighter in the world and in order to get a shot at him you should have to prove yourself first. Not saying that always happens, perfect example is Judah. But I'm curious as to why so many people demand this fight with Margarito, why they have so much faith in him? What has Margarito done to prove that he deserves a shot before anyone else?

people want to see the fight just because they think his size and agressive style will pose problems for floyd. they want the unbeaten pfp man to loose, it's that simple.

I think Marg deserves big fights but he needs to be fighting the Judah's and Gatti's and guys like that so a fight with floyd means something.

if mayweather fights mosley he should def do like you say, otherwise he's the best opponent for floyd. i would rather see him fight collazo though, cuz zab is coming of a deflating loss and gatti is gatti, he will get knocked the **** out and it won't mean anything.

But it will put him a notch above where he currently is and will show that he deserves a mega fight.Persoanlly I would rather see Margarito vs Floyd after Marg beats the Gatti's and Judah's of the world. Hell let him Beat Hatton's ass as well then we would have to see a Floyd vs Marg fight.

Thats exactly it, i'm not saying Margarito doesnt deserve big fights, but I think he should prove his worth a little bit more. If it's just because of his size that people think he's dangerous then why not just match Mayweather with the fighters at 154 instead.

Margarito beat Cintron down pretty damn good on PPV. A fight that was supposed to be Cintron's coming out party. BTW, Cintron beats Gatti and Judah. It wouldn't be worth Tony's time to go for copper when he can go for gold in Mayweather. Tony makes easy work of Floyd, and that is the 8million dollar question. Arum is so confident that Tony beats Floyd that he offered Floyd 8million. When Tony KO's the so called p4p #1 guy, he instantly becomes a household name and a mexican($$) favorite. Tony will then be a huge money maker for Arum for the next few years. Tony would beat Floyd as bad as Floyd beat Gatti...
