  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Joshua Got Ass Whooped, I'd Say 'No' To Rematch

Frank Warren, promoter of Tyson Fury, is raining his eyebrows at the conversation of Anthony Joshua pushing forward with a planned rematch against Andy Ruiz. Earlier this month, Joshua was dropped four times and stopped in the seventh round by huge underdog Andy Ruiz, at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

I just so happen to agree with Frank Warren. He's right. Not only was AJ beat he was also beat up!

Joshua will win the rematch IF he can handle the pressure AND gets mad. The problem is he is already rich, and is too much of a nice guy.

The problem is that Ruiz has a solid chin and Joshua has a tiny fuel tank. The last thing Joshua needs to do is get mad and waste fuel. Joshua needs to get smart

I think people might be going overboard with the pessimism.now, no wonder people scared to lose as their abilities are completely written off, like he didn't beat wkad, whyte, parker, takam?

True it might be good idea if he don't rematch immediateky. But the ref did actually stop Josh taking more punishment so he can fight another day. So no permanent damage done.
          So he can fight immediately.

I must say, point well taken. Seems to be for a whole lot of people, all things Joshua are up in the air until after he fights again.
I think more people would entertain the AJ train, if he displayed a changed demeanor, was pissed off, and assumed some sort of Rocky Balboa approach. Got rid of the whole entourage and yes men, changed trainers, and took off in search of the eye of the tiger or something.
In this world it's all about perception, and a "business as usual" attitude is not playing too well to the public.

Though as with everything else, who really knows what's going on behind closed doors. Maybe Team Joshua knows something we don't, who knows.
Either way, it all comes back to the rematch. Depending on how that fight goes, there'll be another whole line of opinion and perception. One thing for sure, nobody took Andy Ruiz Jr. for the new Clubber Lang.

To much money to be made for the rematch to not happen. Ruiz will be in better shape and whoop the ducking coward again.

Joshua didnt have it easy wtf. The guy knocked out Dillian Whyte FFS. Has a KO win over Wlad and has solid wins against Povetkin and Parker. This is just folks jumping on a guy when he's down. Joshua was a monster but Ruiz was the bigger monster on that night. Instead of talking about the potential of Ruiz being the biggest monster of them all, they keep running these hit pieces which just aren't true.
