Comments Thread For: Stevenson: Valdez Will Move Up; I'll Fight Frampton For WBO Belt

NEWARK, N.J. Shakur Stevenson hopes his homecoming next month is the first of many fights for him in the downtown arena where he grew up. The skilled southpaw expects to fight for a 126-pound championship later this year or early in 2020.

Looking forward to seeing him fight anyone of top level to see what he is really worth. So far I see nothing special. Solid fighter? yes. Top level? wouldn't go that far

If Valdez moves up, how does Frampton (WBO#4) fight Stevenson for the title? Does #2 or #3 have any say so?

Beating either is a credible win.

Seems like something Top Rank would do. They don't want etiher one of them to lose

He young but already understands how the sport works. Berchelt-Vargas and Stevenson-Frampton would be good if that's the plan

Not gonna happen. The WBO #2 Joet Gonzalez is with Golden Boy, so it's probably going to a purse bid

Prob a long list of pampered wanna bees happy about Valdez moving up. Stevenson tops it. He wants no part of Valdez. Neither does the promoter. Some cash cows can't be exposed..
