How the hell did Ruiz have NO money? He got paid around a million USD for the Parker fight. I know there are taxes, training fees etc to pay out of that, and it isn't exactly life changing money, but how the hell do you get paid a million bucks and be dead broke?

YouTube interview i watched ruiz said haymon gave him almost 400k for his first or 2nd comeback fight in 2018 after having 16 months without a fight. Said it motivated him to give himself another chance to be champion.

Although he expected a title shot in 2020 not this year but he took his chance after the drug cheat miller got banned.
