It was hard work being a Fury fan at this place back then, when the consensus opinion was that he was nothing but a big, loud mouthed, glass jawed idiot who would get get KTFO as soon as he fought anybody with a pulse.
I think he has ATG level ability, bit it takes more than ability and talent to become an ATG. It takes longevity - not just scaling the heights but staying there for a number of years, winning titles and defending them against the best men of your era, and looking good while doing it.
I'm not sure if Tyson has the right mentality to do that. He doesn't seem to think he has anything to prove, either to himself or anybody else. I can see him having 3 or 4 good wins, with good paydays, then thinking to himself that he's done enough, earned enough, so fck it, time to move on and do something else..
Yes I also believe this, I also feel if? Fury would of lost to Ruiz Junior like Joshua has? He would probably retire.
He has a similar kind of mindset to Prince Naseem Hamed. 'He was not massively bothered by the Wilder draw because? In his mind, he probably thought he won'.
If Tyson Fury at this stage in his career is beaten fair and square, like Joshua was 'I think he would retire'. Wilder may have the biggest one punch power, Joshua the best rounded fighter 'But Fury's self belief could maybe bring him out on top'
Note: I think Joshua will still end up the last man standing, just like Lennox Lewis.
lol I literally made a thread about how Klitschko had never faced a 5-dimensional fighter before he faced Fury.
I never said Fury was a dead-cert to win, but I said I considered him a strong candidate to beat Wlad.
You on the other hand didn't think it was humanly possible and cried for a year and said Fury cheated, and didn't really win and ran from a rematch etc etc
