We the same people, same culture. The border doesn't define or make who we are

He typifies the Mexican warrior and spirit. They fight and work hard for things, they don’t expect hand outs or cheques without working for it. This sort of work ethics is needed in every country.
Excelllllent post. Could not say it better... This kid fought...he fought and he fought and at a relatively young age he gained tht wisdom of craft we call experience. When he lost a decision many thought he won, he didn't cry, he knew Parker did not do anything material to beat him, he just went back to work.

I hope Mexicans are indeed inspired culturally by a man who speaks to their spirit and tenacity. I predict he will work harder and inspire many more to come.

They kept saying he was the first "Mexican born" heavyweight champion, which is simply not true. He was born in California. No one said he wasn't of Mexican heritage. How exactly does that make me or anyone else a hater or a dumbass because I know the facts and question a bull**** storyline put in place to sell tickets and subscriptions to all the Mexican fans? What country is he actually a citizen of? Even if he is an American citizen if he chooses to fight for Mexico God Bless him. I could care less. Benefits me not one bit if he were to say he was from America. People were only questioning the "Mexican born" storyline because it's not true. I was happy for him, he seems like a nice kid.

His smile is a like a kid who's wish had just come true, not by a fairygodmother but by his own hard work.

                Kudos Champ!

Co-sign. It gets annoying when people try to have it both ways. If he was KTFO there's no way Mexico is claiming him.
