I'm not really sure what elicited that response, I was just saying it's pointless to critique a female fighter's resume when there are about 20 other women in their weight class for them to fight.
I'm just doing the same boxrec breakdown I do when I see a name person fighting a no name person. Never had anyone critique me on the state of a division when I did it so your response seemed odd to me.
There are plenty of bs fighters in deeper divisions than Shields division. When a fighter in any division has half their W's over people with losing records thats more bs than average doe. In this case this chick even has half of her wins over fighters with no pro wins which might be a record for someone with so many fights which could make her a all time great bs opponent for a name fighter.
Cecilia Braekhus took this Habazin girl to school.
Why not Shields vs Braekhus?
Braekhus is older & don't wanna catchweight or gain weight.
Shields is just a big ass girl & can't lose the weight...although I believe she's making an effort hence her going down in weight when the move is generally to go up in weight. Its opposite sh^t in womens divisions doe cuz the action is happening in those 126-147lb divisions.
Women’s boxing would be a lot better and bigger if they just let the boxers work for more time, 2 mins is no way enough time for these boxers to work and ultimately hurt their opponents
Agreed, this is something some of them have spoken about in the past. Two minutes doesn’t really give some of them enough time to get a more work done in each round, which in turn prevents a KO.
I don't want to hate on this but they really need to be a bit more honest about the scope of this achievement.
There are 25 middleweight professionals in women’s world boxing and 17 at super middle. So Claressa is a double champion vs 42 women over two weight divisions.
No doubt she’s the clear best around her weight but please let’s not compare this to men’s boxing. There are over 1700 professionals in Lomachenkos current division.
Let’s please be real here
Not much chance of that happening, I'm afraid. People are too scared of being labelled as "backward looking" "**********ic" etc, etc.
