What I am looking for is the guy who got up and competed but wasn't smart about managing his money during his career. I'm not looking to spark a flamewar around how promoters, managers, etc are scummy.

Just looking for names and I can do the research.

As an example, Genaro "Chicanito" Hernández. Guy wins multiple large purses but apparently couldn't afford medical insurance (Robert Arum pays it) for his cancer treatments and Mayweather paid for his funeral. It's not meant as a sign of disrespect as I don't know the full story but a cautionary tale for up-and-coming boxers who are starting to earn real money.

      Appreciate the knowledge share.
