Comments Thread For: Zab Judah Hospitalized But In Good Spirits Following KO Loss

Once upon a time, most figured the only reason that a 41-year old version of Zab Judah would be in upstate New York during this time of year was to accept enshrinement into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. Instead, it's where his career has come to a frightening end after a pointless club fight just one exit away.

Glad to see Nurse Judah to not be taken into the cleaners of boxing. You're a champ Judah.

Well, it's definitely the end of era. I am happy to know that there are encouraging signs that he is expected to make a full recovery.

Zab should have retired many years ago but the most sad part about it is, fighters who do not save or put back enough money, for a rainy day in their prime years, would more than likely end up retiring broke like Zab Judah.

Unfortunately, there are no existing pension plans for retired boxers either; Which is very cruel.

I was at the fight rooting for Zab. He took a lot of punches. Seldin may not be much but he does have some pop. Thoughts and best wishes towards Zab and his family!

I hope he fully recovers and gets well soon. Glad it's not worse than what it could have been. Unfortunately these fighters stay around too long at their old age past their sell date and risk things like this happening. Just glad the referee stopped it when he did or it would have been worse.

Pacquiao needs to take heed and take warning of this and get out of the sport while he can. We don't want to hear about another Adonis Stevenson or Zab Judah situation.

Def retirement time. One of biggest underachievers for talent ratio of recent times. Prime in shape version outboxes carves up Seldin easy. Gave prime Floyd he’ll. Famous for fading second half

Manny Pacquiao should read this news, and hope he retires too after Thurman fight, there's nothing to prove anymore, retire and enjoy life!

Great point. The years of taking punches definitely takes it's toll. Zab's reflexes were shot. Some of the shots he took against Seldin were bombs. It was actually an entertaining but one sided fight. Hang in there champ. The comeback to full health is what matters!

Hate that it had to end for Judah like that. Good to hear he’s expected to recover. Nothing wrong with working 9-5p.
