Who has the abilty to bring boxing main stream in the US again?

Wilder is the most talked about here he brings trash talk and koes.
But you also got Crawford Spence and Thurman coming on the rise.

Mikey G still has some potential

Gervontae Davis is starting to get noticed (for the wrong reasons thoe)

The Charlos were also getting some hype but one loss and the other keeps fighting low caliber.

Broner could have done it but we all know the story there.

I guess if they dressed up the fighters as Game of Thrones characters they might have a chance.

I don't see boxing ever being mainstream again.

It's a sensitive world out there.

All the guys you listed in the opening post have zero chance. The most popular guys are already 30+

I don't think it will ever become mainstream again. The only thing that can bring some buzz back is if someone credible arises and challenges the crown of Canelo, the sole superstar in the sport.

Maybe Spence can help generate some of that buzz by moving up in weight.

We'd need another Leonard, De La Hoya, Floyd. Nobody like that currently exists in the States.

Spence and has very little charisma, Crawford even less. (There's no way of having less charisma than Crawford.) Wilder is a circus sideshow at most. Davis is a shrimpy thug. And Mikey doesn't have a forehead (more like a two-head.) At least he threw a total of four punches against Spence. Which isn't going to make a superstar out of him.

The best solution would be a charismatic heavyweight who unifies the division. Dream on....

            - -Thurman is circling the Drain.

He'll be lucky by the judges to beat a 40 yr old Manny, but his lack of engagement and propensity to run for the hills won't rouse the public.

Face it. American soft lads make easy prey for talented 3rd worlders.

It's not just about who YOU are, it's about who you fight. So, the division comes into play quite a bit.
Canelo learning English and acting in movies would help him incredibly. Imagine if that guy was charming to Americans.

Spence or Crawford maybe but they have to fight each other for that to happen.

I actually think Ruiz is far more media friendly than Wilder or Fury and if he were able to hang onto the belts he could be more marketable than either. He has the Mexican fan base and the type of personality that casuals can get behind.
