He was in a little trouble in round 10 or 9 but dug in and kept coming forward 10 seconds later. I can't remember which one because I have a career and a child and I don't have the time to watch it again. I don't think Canelo will ever be Bambi legged unless he fights a Light Heavyweight. The thing is he hasn't Kicked any @ss since he fought the glass jawed welterweight.
He KO’d both Fielding And smith. And he gave Chávez a beating for 12 rounds. But those a C class boxers. Against A/B boxers you rarely see a beating or TKO. Heck Jacobs did good against both ggg and Canelo

His entire reason for being relevant was his Mexican Trainer and him being marketed as Mexican Style pandering and kissing azzz to Mexicans. Then Canelo exposed and beat the mexican style out his azzz so he fired the mexican trainer stopped speaking English until about a week ago only because someone probably told him hey we need to promote this shytty fight and you sulking in Russian like an azzhole won't do it.

The only reason he was associated with Mexican and calling himself mexican style was because of Sanchez. Without that he would of been a boring jabbing euro Russian that nobody cares about. If I was a Mexican that actually bought that gimmick I would be pi ssed. Hell if I lived in kazaphukstan I would of been mad all these years shucking and jiving for Mexicans. He was fake from day 1. Why didn't he call himself kazaphukstan style?

I agree. In the rematch the real winner was the fans. That was awesome from the 1st minute to the last. IMO that was a draw. One guy moves forward on the bogeyman and lands big shots, the other guy past his prime gives one of the best all he can handle and rocks him hard. Canelo should not have been handed the titles because it was so close. I'm not knocking him, he did great. Too close a fight for title change.

He himself said he was Mexican Style because Sanchez is Mexican and drastically changed him from the fighter he was in amatuers.

He's beloved by American fans for his aggressive, hard-punching style. Golovkin is constantly on the prowl and has one of the sport's highest knockout ratios.

But when he got to Sanchez, he didn't fight that way. He was more erect and vastly more economical with his punches. He fought behind a jab and wasn't looking to necessarily mix it up.

"Gennady has a completely different style than when he first came to me," Sanchez said. "We've been able to modify it and convert it into a fan-friendly style. If I'd have kept him how he was – the best way to describe it is that he came over here boxing like a Klitschko – we wouldn't be talking now.

"I was able to make a dramatic change, but I had to have a fighter who was willing to make that change with me."

And remember this cringe worthy BS out GGG mouth about how because he has Sanchez around him that means he himself has Mexican Blood? LMAO

Middleweight champ from Kazakhstan had adopted the boxing strategy, but his Mexican opponent begs to differ.

Sanchez wanted to make sure Golovkin’s managers were given something they could really work with, so he went about teaching him the Mexican style.

“If we don’t give them something to market, then it’s impossible for them to do their job,” said Sanchez, a 1974 graduate of Edgewood High in West Covina.

Golovkin, 35, has fully embraced this way of doing business.

“This is more than a fight,” he said. “It’s a real Mexican fight. Abel brings a Mexican style to me. I love fighting Mexican style. I love Mexican food and eat it every day. I love the Mexican tradition. I am surrounded by it. I have many Mexican friends. I have Mexican blood.”

Talk about a fraud GGG was all this time.

Mexican style went out the window real quick once he was actually in a Mexican Style fight then he reverted back to his puzzzy amatuer style and it was nothing but scared jabs as his own trainer told him you losing the fight stopping backing up fight this man. Then after the loss he kicks that Mexican to the curb, Mexican style gimmick and sayings are removed from his promotions at his request. Hell he can't stand so much as a Mexican style burrito that is how traumatized Canelo beating the Mexican Style out his azzz and punking him did to this man. Now he calling Sanchez a fake mexican when without him there is no mexican style and no phony gimick and nobody in the US would of cared about you and your boring euro style. We now see what he really feels about Mexicans from this commie phuk boy from wack azzz kazaphukstan.

Mexican style is when a smart guy like Hearn imports you for all the wrong reasons and you knock off his prize creation. Make Mexicans happy both sides of the border.

Hey guy, thats your opinion. Golovkin circles an opponent with "finesse," all his shots are swung with great form - with good impact. He relentlessly stays behind that jab. He's NOT a bad fighter. I'll admit, I'm a Mayweather, SRLeonard, Thurman, Canelo etc,. type of guy - I love "boxing" - NOT the so-called Mexican style. To me, Golovkin fights very much like Julio Cesar Chavez Sr, but at this late stage of his career how could he possibly look good against a YOUNG strong Canelo who DOES NOT fight Mexican style.... Golovkins PAST his prime with a WORN OUT style that won't help him at this stage of his career....He's lucky he didn't get SMASHED TWICE like how Oscar took advantage of a legend in Chavez....Oscar was really convinced that he did something special. He sure as hell did not!
