Maybe if Sanchez was cool about the whole thing and instead THANKED "G" for the memories - being that he was HIRED and not bonded for life thru some religious ceremony on the hills of Mexico - exchanging blood in viles in some ritual that made them ONE forever......

I believe Golovkins simply using the Cali analogy to simply say Sanchez needs a purer form of the so-called Mexican style to get him over the hump - against Canelo - and he CAN'T - it aint pure enough!.... Sanchez seems to think Golovkin owes him comfort and financial stability for the REST OF HIS LIFE!!

Every trainer in the game is STILL HUSTLING - Roach, he'll pretty much work with ANYBODY to get that money - even suffering with parkinsons), Naazim, always giving interviews in the midst of training somebody, Hunter, "helped" get Breazeale & Khan blown out - but still hustling, etc.,...Golovkin had A LOT to do with his own career blossoming, as well as helping to make Sanchez a STAR!.....It undoubtedly BOTH WAYS!

      either that, or.....

Golovkin is completely full-of-shlt..... and he flip-flopped baaaaadly..... just like he flip-flopped baaaaadly on all that 154-168 rubbish..... and just like how he flip-flopped baaaaadly on all that businessman rubbish

it will be one of those two things

This is more than a fight,” he said. “It’s a real Mexican fight. Abel brings a Mexican style to me I love fighting Mexican style.. I love Mexican food and eat it every day. I love the Mexican tradition. I am surrounded by it. I have many Mexican friends. I have Mexican blood.”

        he has flip-flopped on EVERYTHING

the Ward situation categorically proved that Golovkin is a liar, with few ethics

I think that if a younger ggg were to fight canelo however, ggg would have gotten stopped. At 36 years old ggg had enough experience to hold on for 24 rounds, and even impress in very small spurts.

As for Oscar, man all the wierd kinky **** aside, Oscar was a fkin BULL when he was young. I have yet to see someone with as much explosive power speed and precision as Oscar has when he was younger. He'll he even went 12 rounds and lost a very close fight to a completely roided out Shane mosley. Just saying.
Like you said, kinky stuff aside, he was the MAN! I don't know why retroactively Shane isnt disqualified - the commission knows he cheated ....I don't get the "stopped" part though, Golovkin wouldve been better? no?.....

Oscar reached a delusional point in his career when he beat up on old man Chavez, acting as though he was a credible opponent....nothing couldve been further from the truth. Its the reason his die-hards turned on him and was glad he lost the decision to Trinidad and was polished by Pac. I was just using him as reference.

Young Oscar destroyed a worn out 100 fight Chavez in 4rnds and had the nerve to destroy the legend again in a rematch...lol..The fans boooed Oscar before the fight like he was the worst thing. Comparatively, Golovkin (older than Chavez was) did well in that 1st fight - I totally agreed with the draw, but in the rematch(?) Canelo knew what to expect - anticipated the an old faded "Mexican style" that was pretty much useless at this point...

Or maybe he could've asked his "same birthday as me buddy," Jim Lampley, if he could call himself "The Kazakh Thunder"?

The 154-168 "rubbish," Oh, I'll give you THAT! That was part of Team-Golovkin AND Sanchez in fearful hyped up heat propaganda! But the point STILL REMAINS, Sanchez doesnt get taken care of for the REST OF HIS LIFE because he was HIRED to train a fighter - no matter how MUCH MONEY they BOTH EARNED as a TEAM!!

Golovkin isnt OBLIGATED to now burp and FEED him for some GOOD PAAAAST ADVICE! Sanchez has now developed that greedy centuries ole' attitude of ENTITLEMENT that start wars and Chaos of all kinds.....

Go let Sanchez fill out WORK applications elsewhere (maybe he can now FIND OUT what its like to be "TRAINED" to drive a BUS!) and leave "greedy ungrateful" Golovkin ALONE! I mean, WHY stay around someone "greedy" with no "ethics honor or integrity"???....

Sanchez should stay FAAAR AWAY from people like that, because he's FAAAR BETTER than them....the GREAT SANCHEZ should be placed on a PEDESTAL in MEXICO - adorned with flowers and DOUCED in TEQUILA for ALL to see and love!! "May we kiss your hand oh great one(?).....please bestow upon us your "ADVICE!"

oh I agree, Golovkin is perfectly entitled to do whatever he likes

but yea, that decision does not speak well for his loyalty/integrity

all I was saying is..... Golovkin flip-flopped, again.....

surely it did not take Golovkin 10 years to figure out that Sanchez is from California..... like he said it took him 10 years to figure out that Sanchez had not taught him much

actually, pretty sure he also flip-flopped on the "Sanchez did not teach me much" line..... because he often used to say that he was learning a lot from Sanchez

I dunno man, that team LMAO

                  • I only saw it passively mentioned a couple times, with no specifics, but supposedly, or apparently, when GGG showed up to start with Sanchez, the purses of an unknown number of the early fights were so small that Abel took no pay...supposedly. Is that par?

I think athletes may have certain physical gifts that lends itself to a particular style, kinda like having a proclivity to adjust accordingly. I don't think Mike Tyson couldve ever done what Ali did with success and vice versa. Hagler, I don't think couldve been anything remotely close to a Calzaghe. Carl Froch was a damn good robot that couldve never adopted a SRLeonard/Robinson style. Golovkins natural talents were great for the so-called Mexican style. Youve gotta know your gifts and use em' to the best of your abilities. Trainers have to be skilled & insightful enough to see those gifts and bring em' outta you. Everything is hard work, but I cant see why not - Sanchez happened to do a GREAT job with molding Golovkins gifts - to me, his style resembles Chavezs big time...
