Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Says He's Not Even Thinking About Wilder Right Now
Heavyweight contender Tyson Fury is not looking ahead to a rematch with WBC world champion Deontay Wilder. Last week, Wilder announced that a deal was reached for a rematch with Fury. [Click Here To Read More]
Who would want to think about a boxer who brutally put you down twice, and knowing that he could potentially be the one who ends your career in a rematch?
Fury knows that what happen to AJ, possibly can happen to him against Wilder in the rematch.

So Wilder lies again. He said his fight with his fight with Fury was a done deal. Just like he said that Joshua didn't want to fight him, and then he gets put on blast.
I've never known anyone to get put on blast as much as Wilder.

Fury has persistently been found to be lying about his match making. Fury already knows Wilder is facing someone else in his next two fights, he told us who Wilder is contracted to fight and he already picked Ortiz before it was announced. Wilder even used AJ’s loss to try and get some credibility for his ****** statements, the guy is an idiot.
Scribes and fans keep asking fighters every detail of their lives every blasted minute. I know I'd get weary of that biz in no time.
One of many good traits of Fury now is, he seem to not let any fighter even come close to getting him rattled. Smart move on Fury's part. Last thing a fighter needs is to get all strung out over an upcoming opponent running their mouth 24/7. Looking forward to the rematch, but in the meantime, it's good to see all the top HWs are staying active. As it should be. Great for the sport.
Fury fans keep pretending that he's taking 1 "tune up", then going after Wilder when Fury himself has made it clear he wants nothing to do with the guy. I think those knockdowns genuinely put the fear of god into him because he's done everything possible to keep away from the guy. Really strange he'd act this way considering how many people say they felt he'd won.
All Fury's saying is that he's not looking past Schwarz, which is wise. History is littered with examples of that being a bad idea.
Fact remains, that if they have signed to fight then they are BOTH looking past their current opponents.
And if they haven't signed to fight then Wilder is full of ****.
The funny bit for me is how the announcements by Wilder are always carefully worded by his PR team to give a little bit of ambiguity.... but then they translate it to Wilder-talk by adding spelling errors and hip-hop trash.
"Hey Deontay, here's the release. We're just going to make it sound like it was written by a dimwit so people believe it was you. You right with that?"
You're probably right. If he do, Wilder probably already be in his 40's with multiple "L's". He's going to pull a Calzaghe when he fought RJ and Hopkins. His most defining part of his career.
