Jacob's looked bad in his 2 fights b4 Canelo and it still led to a close fight despite Jacob's taking the 1st half off. How is that pushing himself? Also, didn't Charlo call out Jacob's and say we can cancel our next fight and fight each other when Jacob's approach him talking about I'm making Ms?

Man Charlo went into hiding once confronted by Jacobs . Canelo is pushing himself by fighting the best out there. Charlo has done absolutely nothing at middleweight, and the guy who gave him a tough outing and arguably beat him he won't even rematch. For crying out loud, look who he's fighting next. His career is going nowhere. Dude let Andrade(the most mismanaged fighter of the past few years) surpass him and get a title.

But then Jacobs started calling him out left right and centre after that encounter and Charlo remained in hiding and never once responded again. There was a time where Jacobs couldn't keep Jacobs out his mouth and Charlo still remained silent. He was calling out Jacobs until Jacobs started hitting back, and then he disappeared. I agree Charlo won the fight just like Mayweather beat Maidana in the first fight, but the difference is that Mayweather put a stamp on it by rematching Maidana whereas Charlo ran with his title. That's the difference here. You want to make a name for yourself and keep it then you gotta take the tough challengesz especially the fights tha people think you will never take.

Andrade vs. Alvarez probably will happen, certainly before a fight between Canelo and Charlo. I just hope it happens in September. Canelo can fight Smith at 168, but that fight, if it happens, makes more sense in England and not on a Mexican holiday. I know that the media and DAZN want Canelo to fight GGG in September, but I think many fans are moving away from that and want to see Canelo against other fighters. GGG's true colors are showing now. His real personality is now on display and it is not as appealing as the one that was manufactured for him. Demetrius deserves a shot. I think it would help Andrade's cause if he would play up his Latino roots a little to help sell a fight in Mexico City or in Vegas.

Yeah mean canelo and AJ are crossover stars. There are few of those in boxing. In fact it can be argued only 3 boxers are that big right now.

But among even occasional boxing fans there are a few stars. Spence, Thurman, Garcia etc. Names on the brink of cross over stardom. Those are the ones I meant. And regardless of who they started it’s who they’re with now. Pbc has them and to the original point pbc won’t let their stars compete in a rival network.

I agree that pbc neuteres their fighters. And not only cross platform but within their own ranks. It's clear to see who they're willing to sacrifice and who they're protecting. Unfortunately its back firing because now their fighters are under experienced and the clock is ticking. Thurman is going downhill which is why they're ready to sacrifice Pacquiao to hype thurman up again. Let's be honest thurman wouldn't last a round with young pacman.
