I think that Ruiz beating AJ was probably a negative as far as Deontay is concerned, now AJ is forced to learn to use his size, going to be forced to use head movement and work on his defence which gives Wilder less of a shot.
Sure dude, it would be the first guy Wilder fought who used their size, head movement, and defense right?

Clueless, delusional, comments based on emotion.

The Casual Sports fans are not as SIMPLE as Boxing Fans think. The Casual Sports Fan in fact are Less Fickle than the So Called "Hardcore Boxing Fan". They will likely tune in even more now to see WTF will happen next in this ERA of Heavyweight Boxing. Heavyweight Division had 2 Big Viral Moments within the last 2-3 Weeks that is Win/Win for the entire Heavyweight Division and it has Casuals even more interested into WTF is going on in the Heavyweight Division right now

Hottest Division in Boxing Right Now! Hopefully Fury can have a Viral Moment as well!
I think HW has gotten to be pretty deep now. Lots of good looking up and comers, at least three G's at the top. Lots of variety in the middle, overall size getting bigger and bigger .... the immediate future looks mahvelous!

Reading the bullshlt comments that you write it's no wonder all your fighters are weak and pathetic. They get their fighters from an environment that includes jokes like you. Cowardice and excuses non stop. I'd like to give you just a moments self awareness just so you can hang yourself in shame. That would do me grand.
Lol... See you returned from suicide watch little lame-o-vision.

Still not making any damn sense and still not worth replying to. Still looking for that next woopin like AJ.

        Cheers Captain Cornball!!!!

So you admit Wilder would have had an L on his record had he took the AJ fight? But you're praising him for ducking like the coward he is? Ha.

And did you call this lying narcissistic ego maniac, humble? Haha. There is nothing humble about this piece of garbage. Only freaks and weirdos would suggest so.
Fresh out of the hospital infirmary. Trying out his post AJ thrashing mental break down on the disrespecting public.

It’s captain slow thought himself his motto is not worth answering because he is too damn delusional.

Sure, if Wilder/Ruiz could attract the same pot of gold, then Wilder is quids in - but thats the question - would it be as big ?

Ruiz isn't Canelo, he's American with Mexican parents, so assuming that Mexicans jump on board to the same extent as with Canelo is uncertain.

Main point is that Wilder's gamble assumed the Wilder/AJ marination would continue into 2020 such that eventually, he could exceed the DAZN 100m. That looked like a good bet while they were both winning, but not so sure any more.

Note that DAZN is NOT Hearn. Wilder accepting the DAZN deal didn't mean he went Matchroom, it just meant he gave up alternative TV rights. Canelo went DAZN, but he's still GB, and Golovkin is GGG Promotions, with the sweetener from DAZN that they will support boxers in his stable. Hearn has a contract with DAZN, but it doesn't mean that anyone else contracting with DAZN contracts with Hearn.

Determining winners/losers at this point is tricky. There was (BS) talk of Joshua throwing the fight as it was to his advantage, and while that's codswallop, there is no denying that it sets up a huge rematch, and IF Joshua wins, then he stands to gain from the rematch purse and be back in business, possibly in a better position than he was as now opponents like Whyte might be willing to accept lower purses as they see Joshua as more beatable than previously, and the lure of the belts does the rest.

For sure, if Joshua loses the rematch, he's effectively sidelined and becomes a sideshow.

Saying Wilders stock went up after Joshua's loss is the same as saying Wilder's earning potential went up after Joshua's loss (stock price correlates to earnings), and if you think that's true, then its where we disagree - I think all their stock price went down - only winner right now being Ruiz.
Great points bro, I respect all thinking commenters. Will say Ruiz going viral in Mexico is almost certain. The one challenge is the previous Mexican Heroes have had good looks to get Mexican women involved. Not sure your boy Ruiz will move that demographic.

But Oscar Delahoya did great in Mexico and he was Mexican American. Key is Ruiz has his cultural identity intact including speaking Spanish. Why would Mexico identify with the first Mexican Heavyweight champion?

Other than that the points I make stand. Thanks for articulating your point of view.

Others are not taking the high road and are trying to find a way to spin this on Wilder.

On another subject, I have been reading comments made by AJ and I think his ability to reign at the top may be over. Eddie may want to rethink putting him back in with Ruiz so quickly or at least until he can find a desire for the fight game. No need to push this kid to get hurt.

god..you guys should just go away and hide until AJ gets his rematch and hope he can avenge this....cause every time you fools open your mouths you just look more dumb than the time before...jfc....gtfoh forreal

the first cut is the deepest....but there will be better days...hang in there

So he wants Ruiz's left overs now.

                Ruiz already got his 0.

Real Champions would want to fight winners, not losers.

Yeah I do think it can be probably the deepest Division in boxing in 1-2 years IF the likes of Hrgovic, Tony Yoka, Ivan Dychko, Efe Ajagba, Daniel Dubois, Junior Fa, Darmani Rock, Oleksandr Teslenko and others all live up to their potential
