Hearn means ...he hopes there's a lot of people watching so if he does lose at least Hearn makes a fortune

Ofcourse we will. A loss is a loss. We support the fighter not his loss column on Boxrec. We are not like the Americans.

I’m not sure I want josh to rematch so soon. It was a convincing loss. Floyd may weather didn’t give rematches to people he beat convincingly. Just because you beat someone convincingly don’t mean there shouldn’t be a rematch but.?
I think josh could rebuild confidence and maybe rematch down line as option.

Anthony Joshua will try to regain his lost heavyweight titles in a rematch with newly crowned world champion Andy Ruiz Jr. in November or December at a location to be decided, promoter Eddie Hearn said on Tuesday.

Hearn said that he (only) hopes "the country gets behind Joshua", he didn't say "I'm convinced", just because he knows that the Brits aren't that ******...

I don’t know in the case of AJ, his fans are fans of celebrity not sport. Hatton had a real sports fan as his demographic so they were loyal.

That said, people will be intrigued by the rematch.

Put it this way, i know a lot of girls that were AJ fans but didn’t like boxing, but still watched or went to his fights. Now they’re all fans of Fury’s little brother Tommy Fury because he’s on some garbage but huge reality TV show in England and is a good looking boy. So now they’re obsessing over him and AJ is yesterdays man. It’s not even about boxing.

That’s the problem when you appeal to people who don’t like boxing. It’s great to make money when you’re on top but they jump ship when the shine has gone.

You're certainly not the only one with that perspective. Problem is the rebuild could become rather tedious and complicated, as far as recapturing the belts. With a rematch clause, this may be his best shot at becoming champion, for quite some time. Some people say just regroup now as best possible, roll the dice and take your shot now.
He may know something we don't know as well. 4X on the canvas and a full camp against a familiar opponent may be all that he needs. And no doubt fan interest will be at an all-time high, sooner than later. Promoters have influence too, sometimes unfortunately.
