He needs to slim back down a bit like he did for his previous couple fights so he can get a bit of speed back.

    Use the freaking JAB!!!!

Don't fight down to his opponent's size. He was also pretty telling if you watch the fight, he was just looking to land a right hand. He was slow as molasses after throwing that 1,2 and just stood on the inside which allowed Ruiz to throw those fast hands.

Don't be afraid to stink out the place and box from the outside all night if need be. I think he was feeling the pressure due to fighting in the states for the first time as well as Wilder looking good with that demolition of Breazeale. AJ himself said he hoped the Wilder fight with Dominic went 8 rounds so that he would look more impressive vs a common opponent.

Last but not least...keep Drake as far away from his camp as possible

AJ needs a jab and hugs like Wlad's, he has to learn hot to throw while going backwards, basically run like a girl, lots of stiff jabs and right crosses followed by bear hug, no exchanges, no risks, no going for ko, just run and put your hope in the friendly judges. I think Ruiz would be better off shedding 20-25 pounds and go to the body from the beginning, if he gets AJ with early shots to the body, it will be an epic whopping and ko in the mid rounds.

“Joshua needs to learn to box” - AJ doesn’t know how to box? Really? Joshua KO’d Povetkin, Takam and Klitschko and decisioned Whyte and Parker. How did he win these fights against these good opponents if he doesn’t know how to box?

What does Ruiz need to do to repeat his W &/or what new adjustments will Ruiz need to make considering the approach Joshua may take in this fight that may make this fight harder for Ruiz?
I don't think he is capable of dealing with Ruiz's hand speed. He is not use to it, he has too much mass to move fast enough to get out of the way of them, and he is not composed while blocking and covering up.

Ruiz showed he can counter Joshua's shots, and get it 2 shots before Joshua has even finished throwing his 1 shot.

Joshua hit Ruiz with some really hard solid shots, and he took them all well, even going down he got up and didn't need time to recover.

I don't think Joshua will be able to land anything different than he did that will change the fight in his favor.

This fight smells of a bad style matchup for Joshua.

I think fighting of the jab wont work to well for him. Ruiz showed that he was remarkably adept at countering Joshua's jab.

I don't think there is enough time for him to make any stylistic changes and morph into Wlad, which is probably what will be best for him in the long run.

Ruiz also was fighting at a very measured pace. If you watch his other fights, he can be much more active if needed.

Joshua knows that he can't take Ruiz's shots. Ruiz knows that he can take Joshua's.

I predict that we see Joshua fight a very tentative fight, trying to circle and box with the jab, staying away from Ruiz.

I think Ruiz does a good job cutting off the ring, and Joshua isn't that great at moving, so he will just end up tanking his stamina, and maybe get stopped or dropped a little later this time.

I don't think he has the stamina to play a stick and move game for 12 rounds, and I don't think he will have the confidence to go in and try and sit down on his shots knowing that he got hurt in exchanges every time he did in the last fight.

He probably does need to learn to fight like wlad. 1 shot and hold. Gets to close, hold. No combinations. He will get countered in combinations just like in the first fight.

I have a feeling that Wladimir Kiltschko is going to play a part in his next training camp, Joshua jab did seem to be improving vs Povetkin 'I don't think he can change drastically as a fighter from this point' for me it was just his fitness and durability which seemed to crumble 'He was heavier when he fought Kiltschko so, I am not even sure if we can put it down to his weight'.

Still I do think that 248 pounds is a tad too heavyweight maybe for Joshua 'I have stated in previous post that he does not seem to have a very wide frame or bone structure, his mid section is very compact and slim also' Waldimir Kiltschko and Lennox Lewis in my opinion carried their weights more functional than Joshua.

Josh needs to improve his cardio & not look for a knockout but make it go the distance.

Ruiz should lose weight since Josh will be on his bike in the rematch and should look to knock him out completely + for good !

If joshua doesnt throw himself at ruiz I dont see much ruiz can do. A few counters in rd 4 and he quieted ruiz' pressure, joshua can easily win behind a busy jab. All he needs to do is fight long, I think atleast 3 of the kd's joshua was inside with ruiz trying to get under his punches. Lean back, put the shoulder up, step back. Stop trying to duck a midgets punches, esspecially when he's no tua with leaping left hooks or anything.
