The Klitschko style won’t work for Joshua

I used to think that Joshua should study Wlad closely and take a page out of the Klitschko blueprint. But on second thought, I don’t think it’ll work for him, and here’s why.

Wladimir was a better and more natural jabber than Joshua, and had a leaner physique and better stamina. Prime Wlad could sit back and dominate a fight with jabs alone quite comfortably. Wlad also started boxing at a much earlier age than Joshua, so he’s a lot more fluid than him.

Joshua has a decent 1-2 himself, but his real strength is in his hooks/uppercuts/combos. He needs to get close to unleash his combinations and that puts his glass chin in danger. Joshua is also much stockier and stiffer than Klitschko, and sitting back and jabbing and clinching just isn’t compatible with his style and physique.

Never thought I’d say this, but AJ really might be the next Heavyweight Amir Khan. A lost cause. One thing he needs to do for sure right now is tone down on his weight lifting.

Wlad also had gas tank problems until Steward gave him a system to control his output. Jab and grab.

The problem is Joshua doesn't have a good right hand. His right hand is very telegraphed at this point. He didn't hit Parker with a single right hand in their 12 rounds of fighting. He also got countered every time he threw the right against Ruiz. Ruiz hit him with the left hook multiple times.

Look at everyone give up on Joshua lol. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see him come back and fight a disciplined albeit “boring” 12 round match against Ruiz in which he gets the decision victory.
There are definite tactical changes he can make.
I just laugh when people become hysterical and say he should consider retiring and just give up.
Let’s back fighters when they lose, I hate that people care so much about undefeated records.

Well, most importantly..he doesnt have the Wlad jab which was downright amazing the utility he had off that leas hand.

Jab..jab...circle you and judge the distance..pawing left hook if you didnt move after the jab.. jab-right hand-clinch and just be impossible to deal with. Joshua has real skills but Wlad’s patience and IQ was tremendous and he would completely zone guys out and keep them where he wanted them.

Joshua got overzealous and threw one too many punches and never recovered. Dude’s demeanor has been weird, maybe this loss forges him and makes him stronger. With his skills, size, and strength, he shouldn’t be done off one loss. We’ve seen elite HWs time and time again come back even better after losses before so we’ll see if Joshua is from that cloth.

It's really not hard throwing a jab, what Klitschko was a master of is judging distance and having the footwork to keep out of range. Joshua isn't bigger and more stocky than Klitscko either.

I agree. Wladimir Klitschko had a tall, lean and wiry build; Similarly, to that of Deontay Wilder's. On the hand, Joshua has a tall, wide muscular build. His arms and jabs are a lot heavier than Wladimir's; To the point of him losing stamina if he throws too many of them. That's why AJ likes to move his feet and circle around the ring a lot, in order to conserve enough energy while not having to throw a lot of punches in the process.

Wlad was a master of the outside style and controlling distance, which included tying up smaller guys like Ruiz. Nobody has done that better.

I'm sure Klitschko style would work for Joshua if he can find a trainer to teach him that. All that "he doesn't have this" talk is ****** because you train to learn all those things.

What you talking about, Wlad had a very similar physique and was around the same height and weight
